Alright so this is a weird question but I need outside input.
If you're bi, like myself, but in a 'straight' relationship (guy+girl) and you're completely devoted to one another, do you consider yourself straight? Or same with if you're in a gay relationship (girl+girl or guy+guy) and again, completely devoted, do you consider yourself gay?
I'm ingaged to a woman (I'm a guy) and even though I'm bi, I basically consider myself straight because I'm going to be with a woman the rest of my life. Does that make any sense or am I fucking stupid?

this logic is about as stupid as lalalily saying she isn't trans anymore because she is post-transition

Most bi's consider themselves straight.
Consider yourself whatever you want. Have fun further erasing bisexuals from social conciousness, though. This is why people call it a phase.
My boyfriend and I are both bisexual and we call ourselves straight now because we think that still identifying as bi during our relationship would give off the impression that we're interested in other people. If I was in the relationship with a woman I would probably just idenify as gay for the same reason. I know other people that still call themselves bi and they've been in a straight relationship for years, so I guess it's really up to the person and if their partner is okay with it too.
bisexuals have the option at any time of being in a straight or gay relationship
you chose to be in a straight one. therefore, you are a het. it's not rocket science

preach!!
I think in cases like this, dating history should be taken into account. If you're a straight-married bisexual who has never been in a same-sex relationship, then yeah, you're basically straight. If you've had a boyfriend or two in the past, though, you still "count" as LGBT.

See this is basically my reasoning, I am in no way interested in anyone of either gender other than my fiancé.
Although if looking at it from >>7363208's point of view, I'm bi.
And I'm not 'trying to further erase' bisexuals from social conscious, it's just a question and I was wondering how other LGBT people feel on the topic. I still go to pride, I still protest, I still vote liberally on (most) human rights issues especially those revolving around LGBT rights. Just an interesting question on an odd topic of discussion.
