Ok, legbutts. Is there actually any gay romance that a) is not a coming-out story b) has conflicts besides "gay" c) does not involve the hook up culture d) doesn't end up with one of the mains dead and e) has actual decent acting (or moderate at least).

Not to say, that films who use a)-d) are bad, I just find it's kind of... overused? Almost cliché but not really.
(c) is just a personal preference)

Great movie about being gay, in the theatre, bipolar and life in a small homophobic town. Oh, and it deals with being sexually abused as a child and growing up Christian. It addresses all these tough subjects in a light-hearted irreverant way and has great music. And a cameo by Amy Poehler. Made me laugh and cry.
