What are my chances of HIV in the following scenario?
Met up with a man, and it was supposed to just be some j/o. However, at one point, he fingered me, using some of his spit for lubrication. Aside from that, there was no other exchange of fluids: no benis-in-anus penetration, no oral.
Am I justified in being a little panicky, or being unjustifiably paranoid?
Protip: he had a cut on his finger to make sure fluids could be exchanged. Get tested immediately.
Do you know he has HIV? If he does have it, there's certainly some chance but it's very slim. It's pretty much the same risk of passing it through kissing or sharing drinks, and that's next to unheard of.

He told me he was HIV negative (but of course, everyone says that).

Well, on the bright side if he does have it and you somehow get it I think you can sue the pants off him. I believe having sex with someone when you're positive and telling them you aren't is counted as assault. Still wouldn't be to worried, though.

Okay. In any case, I'll be sure to get tested at 3 months.

2 consenting adults involved with ass play/fingering. There's nothing you can sue on. You learn the hard way when you are a promiscuous little fuck.

Consent under false pretenses is not consent. If he says he doesn't have HIV when he does that means he's manipulating and coercing, which invalidates the consent. Not to mention, even if it is consentual, assault is assault. You can't get out of being arrested for breaking a guy's nose just because he asked you to do it, certainly not get out of infecting someone with a deadly disease when you lied about having it because the other party wanted to have sex.
Relax, OP.
Saliva doesn't transmit the virus. Only four fluids transmit the virus. They are: blood, semen & pre-ejaculatory liquids, breast milk, and vaginal secretions. You're fine.
