I am a trans, but I detest the whole "I identify as a woman," phrasing you see so often. I prefer "I live as a woman," or "I present as a woman."

If a person wants to identify cross-gender, that's fine with me, but not if they don't attempt to actually somehow fit the gender they are trying to be a part of. I have always identified as a woman, but I did not tell people about this basically until I started dressing as a woman, taking hormones, etc, because if it's just feelings, then it doesn't matter to anyone else.
