It depends on if you look like a teen, a 20 something or a 40 year old man.

Not even age-wise, just what you look like. I know two transwomen who started around 35. One is 37 now and looks fine. She looked surprisingly young for her age. The other looked like she had been dragged through her own personal hell for the last 20 years and is 43 now. The 43 year old looks like an unfortunate woman but not a monster. well, the first and hardest part is that you're sort of doing it for yourself. Even if I can't be fully stealth and blend in like a cis girl I'm happier being as female as I can be.
If you spend too much time considering the parts that stand out you'll convince yourself that there's no way to pass, a lot of stealth girls here seem really easy to clock for me but I remember seeing someone that was a clear transgirl irl and no one seemed to notice (and not being nice, I'm not from a particularly nice country and there's a huge difference between people who are being nice and people who treat you like just another person in the street or costumber).

Depending on how well you pass and what you want to do with your life, you could theoretically be always in malemode around your family. Mainly through binders and well trained excuses, spending more time with them also helps them not notice the changes.

Not everyone gets SRS, but in a lot of cases the dick makes you really unconfortable. Many times you start noticing it much more once you can safely look at yourself in the mirror. You can wait all you want to get it, there's no difference there. In general if you pass you'll get partners much easily if you have female parts, though, very few people like dick girls (unless they really go after it, and they tend to be creepy guys just like someone that obsesses over any particular part of your body).

How well you pass ends up being a gene issue in most cases. Some start early and look like men, some start late and pass in less than a year. But the sooner the better, of course.
