because, while sex (genitalia + hormones) and chromosomes can mutate from the standard, brain sex is still either male or female, anything but hasn't been demonstrable, anyone without brain sex would most likely be braindead

tl;dr preliminary research has shown that homosexual pre-hormone FtMs and MtFs have brains which differ in some significant ways from those of either sex and post-hormones the brains differ heavily from those of either sex. They have their own neurological profiles. If gender is part cultural aspects part neurological profile of behavioral tendencies then intersex individuals such as transsexuals can be reasonably argued to be inter-gendered.

I never said anything that goes against that, I understand that trans people have brains that match up with their gender (i'm trans myself) I'm just saying that I don't think it's possible to have a brain that doesn't lean towards male or female.

I don't deny this. People generally do try to adopt either a female body and the culturally appropriate female gender or the male body and the culturally appropriate male gender. Not at all surprising given how we think of gender. However if we think of gender roles as being at least in some part biological rather than purely cultural then if we are to be honest transsexuals probably have unique tendencies and so unique roles. It could be persuasively be argued however that since a great deal of effort it spent on adopting either the female or the male gender then by and large the cultural aspect will push them down paths which are virtually indistinguishable from males/females.
