Don't know if this is the right place to do this but here it goes.
I consider myself a straight but curious individual (and possibly borderline asexual) but as of late I've been having the idea of checking out a local gay bathhouse or even hiring a transsexual prostitute to fulfill some sexual fantasies I've had a for long time. Thing is I'm a 25 yo virgin with severe social anxiety. I feel ill thinking about how much time I've wasted and I was planning on doing both of these probably before march (before I turn 26).

You're not a borderline asexual if you're looking for anonymous sex in Turkish bathhouses.
Here is my advice: young virgins with social anxiety place way too much importance on sex. You will probably be disappointed in your first experience, doubly so if it's some anonymous lay.

Nope. If you have fantasies involving others that you want to fulfill, that's a dealbreaker no matter how you define asexuality.

Don't punish yourself too much. I led a life filled with anxiety until around 21-22 and lost mine at 23.
I know what it's like to confronted by "what ifs" by your own mind way too often. But there really isn't much to be done about that. It's okay to stay inside an entire day and lament sometimes, but the next day you just got to get out there again.
If you're not currently under any treatment (therapy/medical) I would strongly recommend that.

I'm a lesbian so I don't know the details but please, protect yourself. Using Grindr is surely better than some bathhouse, but if you're really concerned with privacy...
I don't think there's anything wrong or necessarily bad about having your first time with a hookup when you're past adolescence, I did and it was great.
Similar to what >>5424321 said, it just didn't feel like something that special anymore to me (I was a late bloomer too), even if I wasn't desperate I kind of just wanted to get it over with.
Only reason I would recommend against it at this point of time is if you're so anxious and insecure that you wouldn't be able to speak up if there's something you don't like or you don't want to do.
Some handsome gay man might be able to chime in on more gay-specific stuff.
