I've used it before, I just check the ingredients list to make sure there's no harmful chemicals in it.
Most lotions I probably wouldn't use since they often have SLS and stuff in them, but usually higher end lotions and body butter is basically just plain oils and glycerin and whatnot so it's pretty safe.
