Last that I checked the two sites that people tended to use when self medding were AllDayChemist and InhousePharmacy. Ordering online is really the only way I've heard of doing it. A HRT regimen consists of an antiandrogen (either spironolactone or cyproterone acetate), and some variety of estrogen, estradiol being the preferred form. Spiro or cypro come as pills, estradiol is available as injections, pills, transdermal patches and gel. I've heard wildly varying opinions on which is the best. Most self-medders will opt for pills given they're convenient and work well enough. Progesterone is an optional extra, and generally is started several years into HRT.
Hormones are more expensive when self medding, it's been a long time since I self medded but it costs like $80 US a month for 200mg spironolactone and 4mg estrofem/estrace per month as far as I know.

I'm gonna guess RLE means real life experience.
But the only problem is that I wouldn't really want to wear a dress anyway even after I transitioned because I don't feel that confident.
I have pretty bad anxiety and I don't think I could bring myself to show up in girl mode anyway.
I would literally have a breakdown because I would be so conscious about looking like a boy in girls clothing.
I normally wear baggy trackies and a really long t-shirt (makes me feel like I'm kinda wearing a dress) with thigh high socks (and I've started going out with tights on underneath too) and canvas shoes and a pastel coloured hoodie with a hat of some sort (it helps make my face more girly looking somehow).
I have shoulder length blonde hair and a mate of mine is going to get a hair stylist to come over and privately cut my hair so it's more fem looking.
I want to be a cute girl and look cute. But I can't do that all the while I know I'm still 100% boy.
It just feels wrong to me and it's embarrassing as fuck to me.
I have no idea how I'm going to stop myself from capping my brains out while I'm mid transition and not looking passable.
Luckily I've been told I look quite fem anyway and I have been mistaken a few times in the past.

Get good with makeup, get a fem hairstyle... and you're going to have to get used to being in awkward, shitty situations. You're trans after all. Manage your body hair, work on your voice. Sometimes I wear converses, sometimes heels, sometimes uggs (I'm scum)... at a clinic they will say 'show up however you feel comfortable' but secretly you'll be graded for effort and commitment. I want to get my eyebrows done (they aren't that bad anyway) but I'm afraid of going out to get them done.
Would it be OK to just do it at home with some tweezers and some pictures for reference or is it really something which should be left to the pros?
Thanks for the reply Titchbits! And yeah, my parent's are super cool. They put up with a lot of shit from me when I was younger because I was a depressed and quite literally crazy kid. They have been through so much shit with me now that when I did tell them it was very "OK, so now we know why you were so depressed as a kid. What a relief, now how can we help you?"

Nothing really in particular. I get that you need estogen, T blockers and prowhatever the hells later on down the line. I just got confused with all the different med names, but it is 12:40 and I'm too tired atm anyway ;D. Like I say, I'm planning on giving it up. But does nicotine slow down/impare the effects of HRT? Or is it more of a case of it just screws with your brain chemistry?
Also, would you say it's ok to be in a small room with people who are smoking (2nd hand smoke) or should I try and avoid that as well. Also,
A lot of my friends (including myself) mix tobacco when we smoke up, I smoke almost exclusively bongs and I was wondering if smoking about a fags worth of bacci through a bong every couple days would be that much of a problem or if I should really completely stop 100% as to not fuck myself over.
I haven't really been a tobacco smoker long and I don't have an addictive personality so I feel like I can fairly easily pack in the cigs.
But I do like to mix my weed so that I can get more rips out of the same amount of weed but if it's going to fuck up my HRT then I'm willing to stop that habit.
