Background: I've been into crossdressing for as long as I can remember. It predates my attraction to literally anything else and has defined my sexual tastes for my entire life. I've felt a lot of shame and anxiety because of it over the years.

You should always treat individuals with the respect and try not to use the words they want you to not use if they're worth that respect be that some pronoun, racially charged word or whatever they're bothered by.
