The tolerance towards tattoos is a trend. These things go round in cycles, and you will come across people who won't employ you because of them, though they obviously won't tell you that at first.

Chest is fine because it's hidden. At least then if you pick some sort of "popular" design you won't be as embarrassed in 10 years' time when it looks tacky as fuck.

Tattoos are hot. Guy, girl, trans, doesn't matter. Piercings are too within reason.

Her research and advocacy work includes human and civil rights violations against the autistic community.

My daughter, who is on the autism spectrum, as am I, is now 19 years old. She had felt (and told others) that she was a lesbian most of her life. When she was 16, she began watching a TV show called “Degrassi,” which featured an FtoM character. After a few weeks, she announced that she was not actually a butch lesbian, as she had previously said, but was in fact trans. She started attending a local PFLAG meeting, where she met many trans people, including a number of FtoM trans teenagers who were raving about a certain “gender therapist.” Although the APA recommends a minimum of one year of “gender counseling” before surgery, this gender therapist (whom I consented to, before really understanding what I was doing) gave my daughter the go-ahead to have a bilateral mastectomy after only two sessions. This gender specialist never reviewed any of the Special Ed records or spoke to my daughter’s previous therapist, who had known her for a decade. And, crucially, she never asked my daughter, “Might you be a lesbian?”

The gender therapist (whom I believe has an unholy financial alliance with the surgeon) gave my daughter (then 18 and one day) the go-ahead for the $30,000 surgery (covered for all university employees and their families where I work). My daughter is now on testosterone (which she clearly is unable to evaluate the risks and consequences of).

The MtF's I've met who were kind of chubby have ended up with way better breast development. It could help.

I don't believe so. If you get off of AA's you'll begin to restart testosterone production, but I'm not quite sure if it will eventually un-sterilize you or not. An orchiectomy is the permanent solution.

The only way your bones will be effected by estrogen is if you're pre-puberty. However, it will alter your fat distribution towards hips, thighs, ass, face and chest rather than all straight to your stomach like men. This is arguably more important than skeletal structure alone, but skeleton structure is still kind of important.

Hoo boy. You're going to be a lot more in-touch with your emotions, and not always in a good way. You'll cry a lot, typically over stupid bullshit. That said, my mood is drastically increased compared to pre-HRT, I'm a lot happier and find joy easier. I'm more sociable and easy to get along with. I made friends, amazing ones, something I'd never had much luck with as a boy. It's pretty fantastic. 10/10 would reccomend. Even crying feels nice sometimes, it's great to be able to unload that baggage from your chest with a good sob and you feel way better afterwards.

I'm not a nutritionist, so I don't know much about soy, but try to avoid pork and beef and replace them with healthier options like chicken and fish. Other than that - and this is very important - Eat. Your metabolism will slow down. You will gain a bit of weight. That is okay. Don't go overboard, obviously, but eat when you need to and do not starve or fast or even diet. Transition is hard on your body, it's a second puberty, and you will need to eat. Gaining a bit of weight also helps with T&A development. You can always lose the excess weight 2-3 years after starting hormones, but early on, your body needs the food.

Put effort in, obviously. Learn to do makeup and hair. As much of a cesspool as it is, /mtfg/ has some good reading material. Practice your voice and mannerisms (The latter comes more naturally to some than others), avoid drinking soda or excessive snacking. And just try to have fun with it! Experiment with stuff you were never able to do before. Try wearing skirts or dresses at home, or painting your nails. If you're still "Boymode" (Early transitioners not yet presenting female in public), look towards some more androgynous clothing options instead of baggy jeans and t-shirts. Women's cut shirts and pants are form-fitting and comfortable, and can give you a pretty hefty boost to your perceived femininity.
