To be quite honest, and this is something I would never tell my doctor or therapist, the real reason why I transitioned is because I was too much of a limp-wristed effeminate faggot who couldn't hold up himself to male standards. FtM are more stable, emotionally and mentally. Tend to be less concerned with whether or not the opposite will find them attractive post-transition and more interested in being comfortable in their own skin.
MtF are weak-minded, and emotionally draining. So, they're women.

I don't know if its quite accurate that FTMs are stronger mentally. Much less commit suicide but that's mostly because there aren't as many FTMs as MTFs to begin with so you hear about MTFs killing themselves more. I've met a lot of mentally unstable FTMs; a lot are too feminine and bitch made to make it as a man. Also I think FTMs care about their appearance just as much as MTFs. At least I do. Think its just a general thing with short guys to always want to look good.
