I didn't know transition was a thing growing up because I was heavily sheltered growing up and when I learned more about transit I was still convinced all trans people become hons no matter what and that I what I was feeling was just loneliness so getting a girlfriend would cure me

Years later I finally get a gf, dysphoria skyrockets and I learned not all trans people are hons and I began to pursue it.

I manage to pass pretty well despite my height so it wasn't that bad having to wait til 21 to transition but if I did when I first realized what was going on I'd probably be a lot cuter :/

It's different because no one knows what to expect. Western (don't know about any other groups - am uncultured swine) LGBT romance culture has had to evolve differently because of how we've been shit on for behaving differently.

For straight people, it's been laid out how to behave when flirting and courting since we were able to write about fucking. Laws were made to clear up this shit. LGBT doesn't have that. LGBT has the general idea that masculine should be with feminine, and masculine should initiate, because that's how straights do it. But even that fucks up because no one has any fucking clue what's going on.

The whole point of gay pride parades is having pride - in this context, pride means not having shame - in being gay. They're not asking permission to be gay. They're not asking how they should restrict themselves to accommodate tolerant homophobes with their double standards of allowing straight romance but not gay romance in movies and in public. Masc or femme, the gays are saying they're free to live however they want and no one can fuck with their rights to do so. And that they don't give a fuck what homophobes think.

And the lewd shit you see at gay pride parades are tame and a small portion of the parade compared to shit you see at Mardi Gras. 90% of the gay pride parade are middle aged bankers, lawyers, office workers, policemen walking with banners.
