I don't usually post on this board but I'm currently shitting my pants.
I was in a platonic relationship with another guy, but ended because I discovered he was cheating on me. Fast forward to now and I have a mild flu, muscle aches fatigue whatnot and I go see my doctor who's very test happy and has me get a blood test.
I've just got a phone call back to come in for an appointment Friday to run more tests. I'm absolutely distraught now because I'm scarred my ex gave me hiv
Should I be worried about this call?

I've got a question and I just want to know some people's opinion on this subject. I mean no harm.
Okay so like, people who are genderfluid for example. If one day this individual feels "male" and decides to not shave or bring a purse to work or any of those similar traits, isn't that kind of shitting on the idea that gender is just a social construct? I know many people who will say they are feeling male or female just to match with the respective gender traits. That just kind of confuses me, because it seems to just be complying with the idea of natural gender roles in the sense that one who feels male or female must follow with society's norms for that gender.
All opinions accepted.

What exactly is gender identity? From my perspective, it appears that people determine their gender identity based on whether their thoughts and/or behaviors correlate to what society considers "masculine" or "feminine". The concept of gender identity seems to only reinforce the notion that males inherrently think/behave in certain ways and that women inherrently think/behave in certain ways. I think much of this is conditioning. Some of it is hormone related, but it's pretty obvious by now that hormone levels vary quite a lot within any given gender. So I ask you, what exactly is "gender identity" and why should I acknowledge the concept?

Problem is that there are a lot of assholes, who are stupid and they think that society needs some kind of gender revolution.
