What are some good tips to follow for renaming yourself (trans)?

It goes without saying to avoid frou-frou snowflake names.
I wanted to go with Celestine, a french name that had a lot of meaning to me, for a long time before coming to the conclusion that it was just too much. I knew that people would wince when they heard it, regardless of how I felt, so I went with something simpler that still felt very "Me".
>ask your parents
>whatever name your parents intended for you had you been born the other way around
>genderbent version of your birthname
>a name that's common for your generation
>if your deadname was rare, i'd suppose you could go with something equally rare for your new one
>whatever name you chose for yourself when you found this stuff out
>any name you actually like
Common names will make you look more ordinary, the odder ones will attract attention, but if you feel like you can pull it off and defend your position, go ahead.
Think things through, don't rush it, try a name out in private to see if you like it.
Also consider your context, get something from your own culture, and I'm not just talking weeb shit. I keep meeting eurotrannies with burger names, and it's super off because no one here except maybe brits have such names.
If you really want some snowflake stuff, get that as your middle name.
Reminder that only anatomic and/or interpersonal AGP are truAGP and should be allowed to transition. All other forms just mean you are a sissy or a fetishist.
Who /truAGP/ here?
>>8342946
Me. I never understood transvestic AGP, it's disgusting.

Hi there Brian Zembic.

but what if Im all?
So when can we expect shoulder reduction surgeries?
I seriously hate that we cant fix our shoulder to hip ratio. If we could, it would fix 70% of the problems for most of us.
So yeah, with all the advancement in tissue engineering, cloning etc. and surgery in general. When can we expecta solution for this?
>>8342403
I doubt it. Unlike surgeries for other bones like hip implants or rib removal, your shoulders end where your arm begins. It'd be many more times harder to reform the shoulder because of that. It'd be risky and expensive so there isn't much of an incentive to develop a surgery the vast majority of people would never even want.
>>8342428
>there isn't much of an incentive to develop a surgery the vast majority of people would never even want.
The same could be said for Facial Feminisation Surgery And SRS.
Only a small percentage of humans want their dick cut up and reattached into a hole.
But here we are.
It's being done.
Bone grafts for hip implants seem more doable.
But they're still not being done. Why is that?
Can't they just trim
the clavicles?
Why is it that transbians are basically guaranteed to be ugly? Pic related.

hotter than my cis ex
Because they're straight men
>>8334196
Your ex must have been truly hideous, which begs the question why you were with them in the first place if they were that ugly.
>be conservative tranny still living with family
>mom is a total sjw, dad thinks all cops need to die
>still closeted as a conservative
>will probably never become a cop cause dad said he'd disown me
why does life suck so much?

i need counseling big time

Stop trying so hard to be edgy.

So my is driving to Huston so we can hang out for fathers day. We haven't seen eachother face to face in 4 years and I've been on HRT for 3 now and full time for 1. Is it even physically possible for me to hide this from him? Or am I in for a really long argument?
>>8369246
My dad is*
>>8369246
Just say you had hormonal issues but it's under control now.
>>8369246
You aren't going to be able to hide that. Why haven't you seen him in 4 years?
People are free to transition, and to also assert a right to be referred to as their chosen gender *after a good-faith effort at transitioning has been made*.
However, if a combination of
* sexual fetish
* desire for a "fresh start"
* "grass is greener" syndrome
* self-image problems
* other psychological eccentricities
are the root of the desire to transition, then it is
A COMPLETE, BLATANT, UNJUSTIFIED LIE
to assert that they "have always been women" or are "discovering their true gender" etc. etc.
headless horsemen, as you call them. it sure is funny watching everyone melt down because tranz.
>>8369222
huh?
Also, it is practically a contradiction in terms to hold the two views simultaneously:
* Innate differences between men and women are, at best, minor, and the exhibited differences are largely due to cultural influences and socialization
* People have an "innate gender identity"
Hips that sit disgustingly high on your body edition.

I like that a lot beep me!
I'm feeling really vulnerable recently, I'm the definition of a twinkhon, and hiding being trans is mentally straining.
I've been on HRT for a little over a year now but I've pretty much made no other progress with transition.
I actually think I want to come out, but I have a lot of work to do before that.
Where do I start, and how do I keep up with learning stuff like makeup and voice, I think a may be depressed because I am certainly apathetic towards transition.
i'm not so scared of being unpassing as people abusing me for being trans. I already get a decent amount of abuse for my hair,
>>8367486
So, you have before and after pics? I've always wanted to see how much change people get. Also, how old are you?
And did you see a therapist? She's literally helping me so much with this stuff, and my female roommate let's me use her makeup and stuff. So get a cis girl to crush on you and she'll help you no doubt.
>>8367493
I was taking monthly pictures when I started HRT,but there has been no change as far as I can tell. I was on blockers for a few months.
I really don't wanna post them on 4chan though, if you have something I can PM you on then maybe.
I am not seeing a therapist even though I had the opportunity to.
I don't really have a female friend who I'd feel comfortable asking to be honest, I find it extremely difficult to talk about trans stuff, like even typing this out has caused me to tear up a little bit.
Hey Anon.
I was in a pretty similar situation to where you not very long ago.
First off, see a therapist, make sure its one who has experience with trans issues, but seriously do it. Not only can they help with all the emotional issues but if they see other trans patients they can often be very helpful with referrals to professionals and advice on where to go next. Also, if you really are suffering from depression (Which is very possible) They can prescribe something. You will probably feel tons better as you address your dysphoria but its hard to do that when depression is killing your motivation. So don't be afraid to take some anti-depressants if you need them for a little while.
The next thing is to make sure your HRT is going well, you're at the point where you should consider taking a progesterone too so talk to your doc about that. If you self med do some reading. Check the female hormone range references to make sure you're falling within them on your current doses. You can expect ~ 2 years before you get decent features from HRT. I know people here often say thing about passing in a few months and so on, but don't be disheartened if you don't. I felt my changes were almost non-existent until about 18 months in.
Voice and makeup you can start now. There are tons of makeup tutorials on youtube and most of them are pretty good. Start slow with all of that, even just watching a few without buying anything is a good start. As for actually getting the stuff - order it online.
Who here /mtfwalk/?

i find it sexy, easy prey.

>tfw guys always lose interest when they find out i'm trans
i hate this, the guys i like the most like me the least

maybe you could cut off your penis?
>>8366677
No one wants to fuck a frankenstein vagina anon
Hey, anon! When did you realize that you weren't straight?
Pic is actually relevant. I realized something wasn't right when this movie came out and I could not pay to attention to any other character but Chel. This was in grade school. When I started to have crushes on girls in my class, I wrote them off as intense platonic feelings.
I've since come to accept that I'm bisexual (leaning toward women), but only a small number of people know.
>>8365925
I wanted to be her.
>tfw you will never be a hot thicc brown indian girl.
Feels bad being a pasty white brazilian.
I didn't think I was gay when I chased other boys around and crushed on them in kindergarten. Looking back, it was kinda obvious though...
>>8365925
When I was in 1st grade we would sometimes play games at recess where we basically roleplayed televison shows. We all had to pick a character to be and basically act out an adventure in that universe.
One day we were playing scooby doo and I immediately said I wanted to be Velma. Everyone bullied me about it for the rest of the year and I had no idea why.

>>8364616
Why the fuck doesn't she at least shave. Like, it's not even just an issue of presentation, but it's as if she doesn't even feel any dysphoria from the beard.
>>8364616
This feels like trolling.
Hons usually shave.
>>8364628
Everyone feels dysphoria their own way.
