Love is a chemical reaction that you translate into the desire to be with another. The chemical difference between feelings is pretty small and the brain does most of the work to translate it. What makes you angry could easily make you sad if your mental framing changes, so assuming that chemical exchanges is all there is to it is an oversimplification that only people who don't get science at all but think they are too smart to learn would believe.

i actually dealt with the opposite, my first therapist was a female and gatekept me to hell. Then I saw a new therapist and he was a guy and he was awesome with helping me with the proper paperwork and everything. He even understood alot of my issues.

Why would your IQ define your intelligence? If it mattered you would use it to get into college and put it on your CV for high IQ jobs.

Why would your physique define how fit you are? If that was ever the case army recruitment agencies and sport scouts would set up near male strip clubs. You could use your modeling portfolio to get physical labor jobs.

Why would your semen define your child? You're just supplying some of their genes and the mother supplies the rest. That just gives you initial starting conditions but it doesn't decide which genes get turned on and off. If semen defined children men would spawn clones every time they fapped.

Isn't it cool that there's only two sexes based on if you produce egg or sperm cells instead of your chromosomes or shape of your genitals and that there are countless genders since gender and sex are not synonymous even though they match up most of the time

Anyways, if you're trans and you and the parent are friends, then why would the kid think that (s)he'd be kicked out? Seems like the parent's are cool with trans people.

You could tell him he should really talk to his parents about it. If they know you're trans and they're cool with you, im sure they're not going to do anything drastic like kick him out of the house or whatever. It'd be best if he went the official route, but that might end up with him not starting hormones at 16, but rather 18 or something like that.

Also, what I would do in his situation, if they couldn't possibly go the official route any time soon, not that I'm necessarily telling you to tell him this should you decide to do that, would be to go get a job at a place like Wendy's that gives you a visa card on which you receive your pay. With that, they'd be able to order hormones online. The job with a visa paycard is important, because you can't open a bank account under 18. They also need a place to get the hormones shipped to without their parents finding out. Something like an 18 year old friend's house or something, or their own place if ballsy enough/if there is enough certainty it won't get seen by parents.

whether you can pass or not also depends on voice and it can vary from person to person depending on how familiar they are with mtf's, but i would say in general just based on your appearance yes, definitely, most people won't suspect anything unless you're tall, and even then they probably won't assume you're trans unless you're like 6 2+

this board loves to nitpick so idk what everyone else will say, but remember that most people know almost nothing about transgender people or how to clock someone. plus they just aren't thinking about trans people all day like transitioning mtf's do
