Depends a lot on your diet and metabolism. Some people have their assholes clean for over 8 hours after the daily shit, others don't have such luck. But generally it's possible to change it so you can have a clean butt most of the time. Still finding the correct spot of how much fiber and water you have to ingest can be kinda tricky and it's mostly up to you.
How they feel also depends, some buttplugs because of their material and shape can be quite annoying. You want something that has a good difference in size between the narrowest part in the middle and the thickest part. Look it up which materials to avoid.
