I think the only downside of "visibly trans" is that might also mean "newly out trans" which comes with a lot more issues than someone who feels firm in their gender identity and presentation (incl. chosen name, pronouns, etc.) That feels like too much baggage too fast, unless I was friends with them for awhile before dating... I really can't say since it's all theoretical.

How was your sexual education? Did your parents give you 'The Talk'? How does this stuff work as a lgbt individual?
Thankfully, my parents never gave me The Talk. They'd probably suck at explaining anything. I learned about everything from sex ed books from the library, Wikipedia, or websites for kids, like The Hormone Factory (I can't believe I still remember the name). I personally don't understand parents wimpyness over giving The Talk though. I'm freakin' asexual and I'd prefer to give my kids The Talk at an early age instead of waiting for someone else to do it. They have books out there to teach kids as young as 4 or 5 about the Birds and the Bees.
I don't know what sex ed does about lgbt kids though. I never had it in school but I feel they'd only vaguely gloss over it.

Hey there /lgbt/, I've currently been deciding whether or not to fully transition and seek out a gender therapist (it's complicated but I will explain if asked) but in the meantime I've been trying to find ways to increase the testosterone in my body very subtly to make me just a little bit more manly. I've heard that almonds help increase T levels, but I've been looking for anything else to help me out while I decide for myself to actually transition with real testosterone or not.
