From all I've heard, that stuff just doesn't exist. Yet apparently she's talked about it to a psychiatrist, and that is where she heard about it.
She won't give any specific info right now (ex. name of the psychiatrist/lab), but she's not one to randomly lie about things like that.
Am I just misinformed? Is there actually such a test? If there isn't, is there any way I can properly explain that this simply isn't a thing?

There are numerous ways to confirm your TruTrans(tm)™ status. First and obvious one is to have a XXY karyotype. The second one which is normally associated with low sperm count and less body masculinization is CAG repeat length in the Androgen Receptor. Third one is to have 5-alpha reductase deficiency (DHT synthesis is impaired).
If you find out that you are XY (not even 46-XX/XY mosaic karyotype) and your genes show propensity for a normal sperm count then you are not Trutrans™ and shouldn't even bother transitioning tbqh.

Ok I have been asking qustions here over the past few days about trans-women.

But I have another question for you all. How do I go about asking a trans-girl if she is post-op or pre-op? It's a deal breaker for me. I don't wanna get somewhat involved only to find out she has an open wound down there, that would be awkward.
Is there any way I can tell if she's had it cut off without asking and without sleeping with her?
