In the US we have acogs and eotechs.
The IDF uses the meprolight m21.
Leafs use the elcan specter.
The AUG comes with a 1.5x optic.
The F2000 comes with a 1.6x optic.
What other nations have their own standard issue optics?

The best optic in project reality.

Copying my question from qtddtot

Ok /k/. I bought a scope for my .22 off a dude at work. It was used but over all not in trrrible condition so I thought. I went to zero it today and kept hitting dirt. No where near on target. And I've got it "up" as far as the scope will go. And I'm still not on target. Is the scope fucked or what?

We are too poor to afford optics after buying hundreds of thousands of 416s so we use flip up sights.
>>
>>35183783
i would check the rings first, they cost like 10$ anyway
>>
>>35183884
I had to buy rings for it. Haven't ever mounted a scope before. How can tings cause it to shoot so low?
>>

numerous reasons, what kind of 22, what rings and what optic?

pic related most gunsmiths will have on hand to make rings match up
>>

fucked, they use plastic erector leaf springs glued in place
>>

>The IDF uses the meprolight m21
IDF uses M5. the scope you posted in your picture is garbage that is being phased out
>>
When engaging in public discourse its important to have good optics.

we have the same raifu but we get standard optics too
Aimpoint compM4
>>
>>35183770
You gots it all wrong familia.
British ACOG and on-top mini RDS combo is best.
>>
Obzor is on its way to becoming standard issue within the Russian armed forces. It's been popping up more and more recently.
>>
>>35183770
It's fucking terrible IRL
When it was first issued it was revolutionary, but by today's optic standards it's so fucking small
>>
can you guys post some of your favorite reticles?
>>
>>35184501
Some have gotten issued Trijicon ACOGs with RMRs on top, I saw some recently. They have the same N in Crown mark as the rifles and Aimpoints do. They use Elcans on the Minimis too now, when they were new I saw mostly Aimpoints, usually with magnifiers
>>
What is the lightest 1-4x that isn't poorfag tier?
>>
>>35186746
Nightforce probably
>>
>>35184857
Can't say that's a bad choice, I have one and it's great
>>
I'm going to come across a good bit of money soon and I can't decide what I want for the AR that would m building. I want to get an MRO but I'm looking at some of the new eotechs; is parallax really that much of an issue on red dot sights?
>>
>>35189836
No. The whole idea of red dots is to get rid of it. Technically they still have some, but if you're looking through your dot at some crazy angle, you're probably not taking a 300m shot so it doesn't matter.

If you aren't building a SHTF gun, maybe get a Vortex or Primary Arms micro-dot for cheaper than going MRO or Eotech. They are sturdy enough for range and 3-gun use, and pretty cheap.

>>
>>35189962
Anon is using a cheapo sight on a .22lr. Shit like that don't matter. I've slapped fucking Tasco dots on a .22lr and they did fine.
>>
Bought a Primary Arms ACSS and it's way bigger and heavier than I thought. I'm a little pissed desu but it seems pretty indestructible at least

Thanks, I was looking at optics at my LGS and I really liked the look of the MROs.
I looked at the picture on a holosun and I was honestly surprised with how nice it looked. I looked at the Korean DI FC1 and I thought that was kinda neat. I am just skeptical of any name that is not aimpoint, trijicon, or eotech.
>>
>>35189996
How far have you shot with it? You like it? Been looking into PA a lot recently.
>>
>>35190065
Aimpoint and Trijicon are the big boys. If cost is not object, then I can't steer you from them. Most of their extra cost though is due to EXTREME durability and battery life.

I know from personal experience that PA and Vortex stuff is both fine as a substitute. While it is less durable than Aimpoint stuff, it is by no means fragile. Short of taking it into day-in-day-out combat situations, you won't really notice a difference. The battery life is like 3 months continuous vs. the year of Aimpoint, and the dot size on a PA is 3 MOA compared to Aimpoint's 2 MOA. Little shit like that.

Russians have a nice variety of unusual and unique stuff that they use like the OKP-7 shame its not for export
>>
>>35190231
IIRC that was designed as a hunting optic, right? That thing looks way to fragile to make wide issue to troops.

that isn't even true in the game. the red dot has a terrible FOV and obscures so much of the target. the best optic in PR is the L85A2's ACOG/microdot combo.

the kobra sight is so well known in pop culture but has it actually been issued to troops in the field to any degree?

The Israelis moved to M5 sight (by the same company Meprolight). The M21 is likely to be an inherited by rear and support troops.
