I'm not sure what to say about that weld. It seems to have poor overlap or fill, particularly at the top, or NO fill on the lower end. That brown spot towards the right seems to either be slag or a discontinuity, and the WEIRD thing is that the horizontal weld seems to be at least okay in terms of fill and speed, though its smoothness leads me to believe it's tig welded and... is it MIG? I don't know, but it's just a WEIRD looking weld.

PA is about on par with Vortex with Vortex being slightly more expensive and slightly higher quality price for price and equivalent scope per equivalent optic.

Vortex has a sick ass lifetime warranty, if it breaks they replace it.
PA has a pretty good lifetime warranty too but its limited to "normal wear and tear" which is pretty ambiguous. but from what i hear they functionally do the same thing Vortex does.

AFAIK Vortex DOESN'T have a FFP scope for less than like $800 though. So the PA FFP scope is pretty decent buy for less than half that.

Well, I'm going to throw my M600 on my .458 build with a similar set up. The bezel is sitting about half an inch behind the crown of the brake. I did some digging around and the low pressure shouldn't really do anything but it should get dirty. I'm just going to put some chapstick on the lens beforehand.
