Navy reserve, Air National Gaurd or National Gaurd are the only branches that work for me since I want to stay in my home state after basic and tech school.
5'10, 170lb, fit. 22 year old.Completely clean background. Very good ASVAB. Dropout (good grades, sudden orphan). Want to get into any of the L.E. rates to improve my chances of getting into DEA or ATF after I use the tuition reimbursement to finish my degree (Chemistry). Is this a flawed plan? Any advice appreciated.

ME is moving more towards DSF (Deployable Specialized Forces) which are the "operators" in pic related

I think they do milpol at some units like alaska,

Usually they end up being boarding officers or law enforcement trainers on boats.

From what I understand about getting jobs, your class ranking and fitness score allow you to chose the unit you want to go to, so basically if you work out all the time and study hard, you can get any position you want.

ME is in pretty High demand, thats why the waiting list is long, but depending on how many people leave, it varies from year to year. Overall, you can do any job you are qualified to do, as long as you wait it out. I wanted to do ME, but in hindsight, I learned almost everything they do and I didnt need to take a gamble at being security forces somewhere.

I have not met many people who failed, because they basically put you on probation unless you cannot fix the issue, which means you get at least a second try. The biggest issues are failure to perform tasks like accurately frisking and finding weapons on people ( because that endangers lives in real scenarios) or you cant pass the pepper spray test, or you cant perform physically. for reference, here is the CG fitness standard
for boot camp. Its not much higher in the fleet. All units use the boat crew fitness test (cant fid it now), but its basically like 11 minute 1.5 miles , 40 pushups and 50 sittups or something like that.

Usually the guys trying for DSF strive to get to tier 1 fitness test levels of fit, but its not a technical requirement

MEs can also go to international training teams and teach other navies and coast guards in far away lands once they make e5/e6. Also great for going contractor or law enforcement after

Do you have your GED? You should talk to a recruiter for the air national guard if there is a base in your area. I have a couple buddies from my platoon (USMC) that went air national guard after 4 years with the Marines. So far they have all said its been a good gig. I think two of them are refuelers and one is an ammo tech, the same jobs they had in the Marines.

I leave for Fort "Chill" Sill in September. I'll be leaving my life of 2X years in California behind. My wish list is only overseas, which are 1-Japan, 2-Germany, and 3-Korea. I aint got no family and I aint got no frenz. I'll be in OK for over 20 weeks during my training. I need to go apply to a local community college tonight, but I was thinking about the people there. If I wanted to make some friends, I prefer female over male any day as guys are fucking retarded and autistic with their "hobbies" and what not, where should I go about making a friend or two to pass the time while I'm there...sweating my ass off from the humidity that I won't be used to, while freezing my balls off from +30 MPH winds.

Boarding officer is a qualification code, i just means that you wnt to the several month law enforcement school, which makes you a federal agent. The course is open to all e4 and above.

>How much actual law enforcement do MKs do compared to maintenance?

That depends on the unit. the Command may decide to put ou on a bot to do boardings all day for 90% of your job if you are good at LE, or they might make you work in the shop if you are not good at LE or your qual lapses for poor fitness etc.

There is an online course to cover fundamentals of boarding and LE, followed by a trip to the federal LE training center where you learn the concepts of LE with hands on tasks (like a police academy)

During mine we did it a few times. Well I had OSUT so it was a little different. When we first got there we did a 1/1/1. A timed one mile run, and 1 minute to do as many push ups and sit ups as you can. Then at end of the Basic portion of our training we did the BPFT, where you only needed 50 points in each event to pass. Then halfway through our AIT portion we did the actually APFT, where you need 60 in each event.

For the people who failed the APFT, they got to redo it in the weeks coming up to the end of training. That happened about two or three more times iirc.

Why? That's a bizarre career path. FFS don't work on anything that doesn't fly. If you like wrenching, get into aviation maintenance. I've no idea why anyone would go Army to do that though. If want to wrench, go Air Force. If want to be a scout, be a scout.

Seriously, that's incredibly odd. Reason?

Overseas. Fuck CONUS even when CONUS is good. You'll have mad fun in Europe if you can get it, and Japan and Korea are nice for the Air Force. Go see the fucking world and get paid for it. If you knock out a short tour to Korea early then you have that out of the way and can hunt long tours elsewhere.

Joining the military to stay in CONUS is silly. Retire in CONUS, explore first. Don't neglect little out of the way detachments in the Azores *(get hops all over Europe) , Spain (there are a few USAF slots) etc as well as Germany and Italy.

Did two years in Germany and begged to extend, but so did everyone else. Enjoyed Kunsan in Korea because the Air Force isn't the Army. Many Airmen volunteer for multiple Korean tours. Visited Japan and would have happily PSCed there.

I never met anyone stationed in Alaska that didn't enjoy it. I only passed thru because I'm a motorcyclist who avoids winter.

They get to inseminate the 2nd best PTer, which is rarely a girl, but from what I recall most "seamen" envy the experience these brave boys gain in boot camp.

they make you exhale a few times to prevent people sucking it in but when you get taped flex your Abs, since loose abs will distend your belly.try to lose some water weight before you go in for the physical by

1. keto diet ( loses water weight quickly and easy diet for beginners )

2.drinking 5+ Liters of water the days before ( so your body drops some excess water )

3. drink little water days before ( both methods work the same for me personally when I had to make weight for sports, but drinking less water can go further when REALLY trying to drop water )

if you have a few months simply change your diet, its about 8 - 10 pounds of fat is about a inch from the waist.

lastly work out your neck for size ( may take a week/s to months to see increases in size) with small weight raises nothing too hard obviously.

Asking again just to see if there's anymore opinions.

If MEPS requests counseling statements from a location, and you do not give them the complete amount, can it have repercussions?

I ask because some of these counselings had what I am told is a sort of tentative/technical diagnose of Depression/Adjustment Disorder while dealing with life issues, but I guess more for billing reasons than me actually being depressed.
Just afraid this legal technicality could get people fucked over.

Hey guys, I'm really torn on what career field to choose as an Army officer, and I'm wondering if someone could help me out.

First off - not to brag, but I feel it's important - my recruiters told me I received the highest score they'd seen yet on the practice ASVAB. I mention this because I feel like I should have a good shot at choosing whichever career field I'd like.

I really want to go special forces (18x or whatever it is) but I also want to get out with skills I can utilize in the civilian world. I'm also considering 35n and 35m (intelligence), but I'm slightly worried about what a background check might dig up (my state's law allows you to deny any arrest history, and I received a couple minor, non-prosecuted infractions as a youngin which didn't turn up on my fingerprints check).

My question is - which career path would provide me with the greatest level of satisfaction both during my army career and afterwards as a civ. I plan on enlisting for an 8 year period so I need to have a path forward after my service.
>>
>>34548122
I'm also considering 74d ( chemical etc.) But I'm worried my Poli-sci degree won't combine with it well for careers post service. What would fit best for me? I'd also like to be an aide-de-camp at some point in my career, as I've worked as a high level executive assistant in the political realm, but I hear that's more of a career for senior officers.
>>
>>34548033
You're seriously overthinking things right now. MEPS told you to "get paperwork x." If it's not complete, they'll say "hey, this isn't complete, so ask the doc for more." If they're satisfied with it, you go through. THEY have to tell YOU what you need to submit. Stop overthinking.
>>
>>34548181
Aye, overthinking is how I got into this situation. Everyone's been telling me I do that in every facet of my life lately, habit I've been trying to figure out how to break. Past year made me into a chronic worrier.
>>
>>34548122
>>34548178
Please advise if I'm asking in the wrong placr. Not sure if anyone here has experience with Army OCS.
>>
>>34548122
>I'm really torn on what career field to choose as an Army officer
what? are you going to OCS or are you saying youre going to commission once youre already in later?

>my recruiters told me I received the highest score they'd seen yet on the practice ASVAB
Why don't you just say your score and stop beeting around the damn bush

>I really want to go special forces
You better be in fantastic shape

>which career path would provide me with the greatest level of satisfaction both during my army career and afterwards as a civ
We're not you so we cant tell you what will satisfy you

>I plan on enlisting for an 8 year period
???
How do you plan on that? That's not even a thing, most MOSs have a 4year enlistment, so you will have to re-enlist which is an important distinction.

> Poli-sci degree
Wow what a waste

I'm still confused, how are you enlisting with a MOS but also becoming an officer?
>>
>>34548236
Relax. Just go to MEPS with what you have now. So what if the ""missing"" paperwork says depression or whatever? How do you even know that shit even existed to begin with? I haven't seen it, and I'm willing to bet you haven't personally inspected the paperwork with all those ICD codes and statements on there either. The paperwork you requested from the civvy docs didn't include that. That's not because you asked them to exclude it, they just didn't add it. The very paperwork MEPS wanted didn't include that. As far as you're aware, there is nothing else, because if there was your civvy doc would have given it to you. So now, you go to MEPS with that paperwork, and if, sometime down the line, some asshole says "anon, you forgot this!" you say "I was given what I was given. IF and only IF there was something missing (which I'm not acknowledging), it's the fault of the civvy docs who left shit out and the meps docs who noticed no discrepancies!" YOU are not at fault if you aren't given exactly what you asked for. If anyone tries to pin this on you, you show them the written proof that you asked for everything and the responsibility falls on the civvy docs. Your due diligence will consist of the shit you've written down and can shove in the face of anyone who thinks you're up to no good. So, stop overthinking this. If you requested paperwork and it wasn't given to you, it probably never existed in the first place.
>>
>>34548265
>enlisting with MOS but still becoming an officer
Still really confused about all the technicalities and lingo. I'm planning on going to OCS with the Army. My recruiter seems to think I have a good shot - got a 99 on the PICAT and a 95 on whatever that preliminary GT ASVAB they had me take was (which they claim was the high score in their office).

My goal is to develop a foreign policy portfolio and hopefully end up with a job as a DC lobbyist/defense industry analyst after my career as an officer ends (not sure how long they are but I thought they were 8 years).
>>
>>34548333
Nigger ok are you talking to a enlisted recruiter or specifically an army recruiter?
Cause it sounds like your recruiter is about to sucker your ass. If you are going to be an officer you definitely wont be enlisting as an 18x.
>>
>>34548333
I honestly don't even know where the process goes from here. My recruiter has been sort of slow to answer questions (possibly because of waiting on some confirmation for something that turned up on my fingerprints).

Does anyone by chance know if you can get letters of rec from relatives that were officers (grandfather and cousin, specifically)?

>>34548363
Haven't even mentioned 18x to him yet. I was more wondering what the process is for becoming an SF officer. I get that you won't be leading a Ranger team straight out of Benning.
>>
>>34548401
I typed it wrong, I meant are you talking to a specific officer recruiter?

18x doesn't have anything to do with rangers.

Pretty sure you gotta be in the top % of infantry officers than put in for it or something along those lines.
>>
>>34548446
Ok, well that answers my question as to whether you can pursue SF careers without being an infantry officer.

So far everyone has discouraged me from going infantry but I wasn't sure that you couldn't transition from a different MOS to 18x and etc.

As you can tell, I have very little knowledge of how the Army is structured. But I'm 100% committed on going to OCS and I'm doing my best to learn as much as I can. My recruiter seems very busy and I haven't been able to learn too much from him so far.
>>
>>34548446
>>34548477

You don't need to be an infantry officer to apply for 18A (SF officer). Not that it matters, if you're going to OCS you don't get to pick your job as an officer, you have to compete for it.

Your recruiter is fucking with you about the ASVAB score either way. A 95 on the ASVAB means you did better than 95 % of people...which means you're a one-in-twenty find. Great score, but if it's "the best they've ever seen" then that recruiting office has been open like a month.

Anything over 90 they'll start sucking your dick and telling you that you're the greatest, but in reality anything over 80 qualifies you for all jobs.
>>
>>34548477
I'm getting so confused cause your terminology is so wrong.
18X is a specific enlistment option. Youre not enlisting.

For the 3rd time, are you talking to an actual officer recruiter? Or just some random douche in the mall?

>>34548526
Correct
>>
>>34548526
>recruiter fucking with me
They were pretty genuine but I had a feeling that this was the case.

Anyways, what will I need to do to best qualify and compete for Army intelligence? I have a pretty strong background and etc., and I feel that it's the best use of an Int'l Relations degree.

Anyone pursue this MOS that can offer information regarding how invasive the background investigations are?
>>
>>34548588
Actual officer recruiter in an Army career center. I'm in the process of building my packet.
>>
>>34548588
>>34548606
Funny because the Army doesn't have "officer recruiters". You are still enlisting, it's just as 09S which gives you a chance to go to OCS after BCT
>>
>>34548590

If you want to enlist - congrats, you qualify. Pretty much any ASVAB score in the mid 80s or up will qualify you for most of the intel jobs.

If you want to commission - intel is highly competitive, so you'll have to beat out your peers in terms of PT scores, college GPA, and during classes/exercises at OCS. The type of degree you have is mostly irrelevant.

While there are no "officer recruiters' except those of the service academies, there are special cases where some officer programs are handled at least initially by enlisted recruiters. However, since you will soon outrank them, they tend to put the enlisted guys ahead of you in priority
>>
>>34548265

My final contract said 8 years enlisted with 4 years reserve, The guy kept trying to get me to sigh it and I refused because I said he fucked up the paperwork. Its possible if someone messes up.

Also it sounds like the recruiters is giving him the whole "naw mayn youll get gud at being enlisted and then go officer, just sign here, its all legit, i promise"
>>
>>34548682
Yes
>>34549057
This is irrelevant information. For the sake of this guy, who said he is in an "Army career service center", he's talking to an enlisted recruiter about enlisting as 09S. If he failed OCS for whatever reason he would still be obligated to serve as enlisted, so he's enlisting.
>>
>>34549098

You process in as enlisted for army WOFT and then get guaranteed warrant OCS. That is the only anomalous program that comes to mind (enlist as E5 with orders to OCS upon completion of boot camp)
>>
Should I go Army or Muhreens? Most of my relative s have been Army, but my granddad went into the corps. (Crazy bastard was fucking around in Nagasaki less than a month after the bomb. It's a wonder my family don't have three arms.) Anyway, I'm leaning MC because of the uniforms.

I may have an issue with the fact that I only have a GED. Is that really a big obstacle? (It's not ideal, but I managed to do extremely well on the tests despite only ~2-3 months of formal education, so...)
>>
>>34549098
>fail OCS and get enlisted
Are you high?
>>
>>34549903

This happens, but it's rare.

You attend an OCS board and get selected for an OCS contract before you enlist, so it's not like they're going to divert you to a regular enlisted contract instead of OCS. However, if you attend OCS and fail/quit, you have to serve out your enlisted obligation.

Basically it requires an OCS board to say "yeah, this guy seems like officer material" and then you go and fuck it up later on down the line, usually by doing something idiotic.
>>
>>34549949
Ok, I thought he was inferring that you would have to enlist even if you didn't pass the review board. From what I understand OCS has a 90% pass rare though

Marine Corps requires you to have 15 college credits to enlist, or a High School Diploma, they won't accept a GED alone.
Citation: I'm coming in with a GED + 15 100+ level credits.
Important notes: They DO NOT accept 01-99 level classes, for example Math 052 means jackshit. They DO NOT accept CLEP credits for this purpose, I learned the hard way, even if the recruiters were impressed.

Army accepts just plain GED a bit as far as I know, but I'm unsure of other services.
In any case,15 credits is ONE semester of college or basically two part-time.

Well, I was told by an acquaintance who EASd a bit ago that I can still get in if I do well enough on the ASVAB. Besides, I need the GI bill for college money.
>>
>>34550204
So you went to an MBA program and still couldn't find a job? You're supposed to network with other people and use connections to get a job. Also, you can use craigslist or linkedin to find a job that wants people with MBA's. Don't know why you're hung up on public sector. I think you have a little autism since you couldn't figure out that going to an air force forum and telling them that OTS is a last resort would be received negatively. That autism might be holding you back from getting a job. I'd say work on your personality first and foremost, because at this rate it won't matter where you go; people will get sick of you and you'll be pushed out, passive aggressively or not, each and every time.
>>
>>34550026

It varies by unit, some people wire the shit out of their racks with vidya and flat screens. It can be miserable though depending on size of ship. Also some duty stations suck if single.

>I talked to someone who said their gunners mate threatened to an hero after 3 years at the same ship

>other gunners mates I have talked to loved it. One told me about how he volunteered to go with the army into iraq

>some of them love the lack of watch rotation on big boats, aslo minimal maintenance when you have a large GM shop

Field can also shift, some of them work on missile/torpedo, others do SPECWAR, and others do small arms. There are also ammo jobs that are not the greatest. What are you hoping o get out of it? I might be able to get you some suggestions and see if its the right choice?
>>
>>34550238

>Is [it] enough to get a bachelor's or masters from not a top school

Yes, also while you are in, you can get what is called tuition assistance, which is basically use it or loose it free money that gets allocated every year to anybody who asks. You can use usually around 3-5k per year (varies) to go to accredited schools at 250/ credit hour

So our CHENG also left and the replacement is the one who fucked the CO.
So basically lots of new moving pieces.

Anyway this was her first tour as cheng, yet for some reason the CO chose her to be stand in XO instead of one of the more experienced dept heads.

She was a 5foot blonde airhead who went to USC and had fake tits. Forget if she was still married but def had kids.

The CO was like 6'6 notre dame guy who I also think was married and had kids lel

He said fuck the CO room and spent the whole deployment in the Commanders cabin by the QDeck.

Basically he never left there and I mean ever. I only ever saw him during sea and anchor. She was like his personal slave and loved it, she would bring his meals to the cabin and all kinds of shit. She was always in civis doing this and when wed be walking around in the middle of the night wed see her coming and going from his room at like 2am also in skimpy pajamas.

Everyone with half a brain knew what was going on.

Wanna know the best part???

Theyre married now haha.

With all that being said she was a nice person but kind of an airhead. He seemed nice as well but obviously was aloof for who knows what reason.

And again ahah that shit wasn't unduly it was straight sexual. She was a huge flirt too anyway. When I had my exit meeting with her it was in her stateroom and she was wearing short shorts and a white wife beater. She had Victoria secret lingerie cut out pictures like all over her room too. Shit was weird senpai.

The entire deployment senior leadership was absent. Chiefs and JOs ran that entire deployment it was so bizarre.

It's a "worst of the best" situation. 35 series is one of the top job fields when it comes to post-service employment, but within that field 35M is one of the worst.

It's mostly because 35Ms are very reliant on deployment to do their jobs, and that isn't happening much lately.

I think recruiters sometimes convince absolute tards to take the asvab so more serious candidates end up with a higher score. If 100 geniuses take the ASVAB, half will score below 50. If recruiters convince 300 retards to take the ASVAB alongside the 100 geniuses, those 100 geniuses get 57+.
>>
>>34552918

That's not how it works, it is not a scaled test, It assesses your ability, not a comparison against peers. If 100 take the asvab and score below 50 they are below 50%, if 300 retards take it, they will still below 50%, and the 100 geniuses will still score above 50% on the test. Even if 100 geniuses take the test and no retards take the test, they will still score a 50% on the test. Its like your high school math test, unless your teacher grades on a scale, then its not

Why does this keep happening? Every time an airman speaks up, its about something irrelevant and is always followed by a quick awkward silence followed by everyone else getting back to the subject.

What is wrong with them? Is your AIT fucked? Or is your basic fucked? Where does the fuckery begin?

>>34553047

>>
>>34553047

What is wrong with them? Is your AIT fucked? Or is your basic fucked? Where does the fuckery begin?

Mabey they just want to feel relevant? most of what they do is logistics, since after WW2 they have not had a major role in air to air combat or large scale bombing campaigns. Its more of a meme service now, since the army and navy have their own aircraft that they use for most missions. Aside from air support like C-130s and A-10s, they basically just transport equipment and do cyber security.

>Standard Scores are scores that have a fixed mean and standard deviation in the population of examinees. A Standard Score indicates how many units of the standard deviation a particular score is above or below the mean. In the case of the ASVAB subtests, the mean is set to 50 and the standard deviation is set to 10. Thus, a Standard Score of 40 indicates that the examinee scored 1 standard deviation below the mean. A Standard Score of 70 indicates that the examinee scored 2 standard deviations above the mean.

with a fixed mean, half of the population can score in the "90th percentile".

if it really was scaled, the mean would be the actual average. So if more/less people were retards, then the mean would be 37 or 85 for example.

Anyone in Navy DEP successfully changed rates or attempted to? I was so busy researching everything else expect for choosing a rating that I ended up signing for MM (sadly it was the best of the 3 Tyrone gave to me) and was told bull poop by my classifier and recruiter that said to me "over-qualification" for ratings is a thing that were available at the time like QM and HM. I was just pushed to fill a quota.

You can still get good jobs with 35M, especially if you network and get good grades, though you should be doing that anyway no matter what 35 series you do, especially the networking. It's just a bit harder than other 35 series jobs.

As for 35Fs, you could be attached to a BCT that deploys, or to some entirely rear echelon unit. Ms are always attached to deployable units, Fs aren't always. Either one has a chance to support Rangers (go through RASP like everyone else) or SF (B-Teams, not sure how one gets attached to one though) if you're so inclined.

What specific medical professional and request type would I go to to get this done?
Same guy worrying about prior counseling and shit. My mental med history is basically just fucked up looking because I never told professional medical people I was just in a lot of bad living situations as a kid.
>>
From the ages of 10-14 I was diagnosed with bipolar, which they rediagnosed as depression, then rediagnosed as Oppositional Defiance Disorder like the other anon. They only time I actually talked with the psychiatrist myself was the last time, the first two times my stepmother answered all questions before I could. even then ODD is just being a fucking teenager. These all happened with 3 different psychiatrists too.

Do I need to have records of this at MEPS even though it was as a child/teenager?

having a second medical opinion *wink* can get you in. but that's completely up to you. are you REALLY that bad with authority?
who knows, maybe the military will unfuck that shit
looking back before I joined I was wicked quiet and socially inept (hell maybe borderline autist) but from constantly being surrounded by others and needing to actually communicate and socialize I'm a god damned social butterfly now.
I can walk into any room and walk out with a friend/acquaintance
That sgt maj I said that is up my ass about numbers? he loves it when I walk into the main office in springfield. he likes me as a person and marine, but hates the numbers I pull (I go for quality not quantity)

TL;DR
Go see another doc if you aren't that bad and go forth and stack bodies
>>
Any way to lose four pounds before I head to MEPS on Thursday?
>>
>>34555873
Intermittent Fasting, go OMAD, eat around 600-800 calories a day, do 2 hours of cardio a day doesn't need to be intense.

Don't eat the morning of MEPS, empty your bladder and go shit before you take the bus to MEPS.

>only time I actually talked with the psychiatrist myself was the last time, the first two times my stepmother answered all questions before I could

>re-diagnosed 3 times

anon it sounds like you had some shitty doctors

>they could not establish a clear diagnosis
>you were never given a thorough test

it sounds like very good reason that these were misdiagnosed.

would talk to a docor and tell them you want a second opinion like>>34555806
suggested. Explain that you wanted to get a second opinion on previous diagnosis because you did not talk to/were not seen by the doctor, you mom did it for you instead and they could not distinctively diagnose you with one thing.

some records required only go back to last 6 years (pay attention to the words"EVER" in the questions)

>it is basically giving a decent plan to leave out some paperwork
What paperwork? Have YOU ever seen this so-called paperwork? No? Then RELAX. It probably doesn't exist.
>>
>>34554714
No problem. You taken the DLAB or a practice version yet? I still need to try a practice version desu, the language aspect of 35M spooks me more than anything, but it's also one of the things that draws me to it ironically.

I signed up for the marines and i'm in the DEP, but the MOS I want isn't currently available and there's no guarantee it'll be available by the time i'm set to ship out.

Is there any way I can actually delay my ship date if by the time I ship the MOS I want still isn't available?

Go to a sauna the night before (if your hotel has one).

Sit in there for about an hour and a half and you'll lose a lot of water weight.

How do other branches view Marines?
>>
>>34556959
Like the arrogant retards they are. Wouldn't be so bad if MUHreens would just admit they are discount army
>>
>>34556997
I was under the impression that, pound for pound, your average infantry Marine outweighed your average infantry Soldier with regards to discipline and proficiency.

Of course, the Army also has a fucking assload of units so it's no surprise that they're seen as Army-lite.
>>
>>34557012

"Marines: 110% of the effort for 90% of the results."
>>
>>34557055
Why do so many people flock to them? Is it because of their heritage of being "first to fight"?
>>
>>34557076

Because marines put in 110% of the effort.
>>
>>34557076
It's because of their brilliant PR campaign and image.

Do you want to just be a Soldier? Do you want the easy life as an Airman?
No, you want to be the best, to be a Marine.

It speaks to young men looking to prove themselves.
>>
>>34557012
Marines tend to be more physically fit, yes. However the improved disclipline and proficiency goes out the window after boot camp, and they show what they are really like. A bunch of meatheads who have some nice history, and just play up that history constantly. Only the USMC has a motard epidemic, none of the other branches do.

Muscles
Are
Require
Intelligence
Not
Essential
>>
>>34557131
Is that to say that it's impossible to escape the motard epidemic? Are there any smart Marines?
>>
A lot of jobs in the AF that I'm interested in (2A and 3E) require a secret clearance, but I've heard of some assignments requiring a top secret clearance. For a 4 year contract as enlisted should I expect a top secret clearance for any of those or is that highly unlikely?
>>
>>34557349
>>
>>34557143
There are 180,000 Marines. Some of them are going to be smart, no doubt, but like any other branch, a ton of it has to do with what job you're in.

>>34557149
They don't really take 4 year vs 6 year into account for your first duty station, since you'll probably PCS from there in 3 - 4 years anyways.
2As and 3Es don't usually need TS clearance, though. I'm going to assume you are thinking you won't pass the investigation.
