Canadian fag here looking for a M44 (big fan of smaller rifles). Thoughts on the M44?
short shooty flippy stabby
I'm hoping that anon is right about nuggets going on sale around black friday back to normal prices

Shoot it at night. Fucking awesome fireball. I like mine, fun to shoot and cheap to feed. Not sure about how it is for you syrupniggers but here in Freedomlamd they tend to command a premium price, luckily I got mine before prices got all retarded

I love the action on them and how I sort of smack it around to operate quickly. It just feels good.
I've never touched a bad one yet. I've used tula/ishvesk 91/30s and a type53. The worse thing about mine was sighting it in, that front sight post was a pain to get moving. Once I got it started, it went pretty ok though.
The barrels haven't been very perfect on some of them I've used, but they still shot just fine.
Pic related is me shooting mine into the ice last winter.

Retailers are selling them for $400+ Canuckistani sheckles right now, and on CGN you can get one for the low-low price of $600+.
M44 is a great little gun- loved mine, and now sad that I traded it away years ago. Really felt great. Also, it was a Polski M44 that I bought for $250, and they are now worth ~$800.
Tell me why I shouldnt sell mine.

I like mine.
Unfortunately it has a randomly occurring feeding issue with a full magazine, as in the first round jams the action and won't get into the chamber. Seems to be a bit more common when reloading with clips.
But when it works, it works, and is fun.

rimlock?
>>27801424
Probably got rimlock
>>27801434
no, not exactly. The rims are aligned correctly, but that nasty little "claw" that's supposed to prevent double feeds seems to be a tad too tight. Or the spring of the mag is too weak to push the top-most cartridge past it.
but like said, it doesn't happen all the time, and seems to happen even more seldom if I just insert each cartridge manually into the mag.
>>27801434
Occurs with rimmed cases when the one below is further ahead of the one above- the rim catches it as you are trying to load and fucks you.
Usually doesn't happen in Mosins though- they have a magazine interrupt. Anon should be sure to push the rounds in deep enough to ensure it is activated.
the only mosin thats worthwhile is the m39.
even then I havent shot mine in years.
>>27801467
Like I mentioned in: >>27801458
it seems that it's this mag interrupt itself causing the issues, literally locking the top-most round into the magazine at times.
The folding bayonet is neat to look at but outside of Operation Bagration it is of limited utility and mostly just unnecessary weight on the barrel.

Poland made the best M44s.
How in the fuck do I go about choosing an SKS to buy online? So many damn options from shooters grade to collectors grade, only a $50 difference between the two.
Any help for a not-for-long nogun?
>>27802271
Just get the cheapest Chinese Type-56 you can find; it will still work just fine.
The SKS cannot be destroyed under normal circumstances.

My family
Why would anyone but a poorfag own one of these stupid things?
>>27804176
blacked out the cats for for its protection
>top kek
>>27800893
They are shit and I own four and want 2 more
I like the M44 more then the 91/30s but the M39s are the best t b h
>>27804425
For your protection. You're better off not knowing his real identity. Purrsec is very serious business.
>>27804176
Only a poor fag would have one. That's why I have five.
Old nugget pic
>>27805890
Only five? WTF man.
>>27806085
Tough to find locally. I need a 91/59 and a finn barreled M91.
>>27806182
Get on it man. If the capitalists invaded now, you won't even be able to arm an entire squad of your proletariat friends! Every good communist should at least be able to arm a platoon with Mosins.
I rarely shoot my Nugget anymore besides pissing contests with the neighbor on who can make the loudest boom.
Just a plain Jane 1938 Izhevsk round receiver with a scratch up stock.
My newest addition.
