Would it be possible for the US to defeat the North Korean air force?

Yes

There is no question there.

Hell, a single carrier airgroup could probably do it.

here's your reply

yes

I think it's a valid question to ask if it's possible for the US to NOT defeat the NK air force if a war kicked off.

And I think the answer is no.

No, its impossible. I mean, how can the US even compete with something like pic related?

Sure, it might "look" like a MiG-29 but its a North KOREAN one. Its blessed by the awesome technological components that the people have produced in state of the art factories and is flown by pilots who have angels and eagles as their forfathers.

Not a chance. Our F-35's are lemons that can't dogfight superior Slavic Mig-21 designs. Our pilots are pampered westerners who lack the superior juche of their Korean adversaries. Our planes will fall out of the sky when they detonate their super secret nuclear EMP devices. Through the fighting spirit of its people and the brilliance of its domestic self-made scientists, they will render us harmless and incapable of inflicting barbarity on the stalwart and noble Korean people.

Not going to lie, I kind of like that green.
>>
Better question.

If God came down with a proclamation that the US had to beat the Nork Air Force using only 40+ year old aircraft from the boneyard, how long would it take?
>>
>>27796326
in a day or 2

Just waiting for someone to blatantly charge in and say "NO HOPE, MUH 2 OR 3 MiG 29's WILL FUCK UP YOUR AMERIFAT "AIRFORCE"".
>>
>>27796326
Can't believe there hasn't been an invisible dong joke yet.
>>
I'm 100% sure a single carrier group could do it
>>
>>27796622
As long as the US could use modern munitions and avionics, I think we could finish the war in a few weeks.
>>
>>27796326
The real question would be is it possible for the South Korean air force to beat the North Korean air force?
>>
>>27796643
but he invented the F-16 and knows everything
>>
>>27797565

only way the South would lose is if the North managed to nuke South Korean airfields.
>>
>>27796326
no, can't defeat something that doesn't exist
>>
>>27796326
I'm certain we can take on their entire AF with a single F-22.
>>
but the real question is could Vegeta Beat Robin?
>>
>>27797680
But then the north looses because north korea as a landmass no longer exists, and some south korean dude still has a plane lying around.
>>
>>27796424
Aren't their pilots the best fed members of the military and still limited to a 1,200 Cal/day ration?
>>
>>2779662240

2-3 days
>>
>>27797765
Jesus fuck, thats about what i eat for breakfast...
>Not Amerilard
>Hungry skeleton masterrace
>>
If you leave out our army, air force, navy, national guard, and coastguard then yes. Maybe leave out state police and private contractors if you only want a slightly overwhelming victory
>>
>>27796326
I thought they didn't even let their pilots fly because they're afraid they'll just fly across the border and eject.
>>
>>27796413
Is that just a dressed up Fulcrum?
>>
>>27798802
It's a MiG-29S-13 9.13, also referred to as a Fulcrum-C. The North Koreans received three, out of a total expected fleet of forty. The 9.12A is the downgraded monkey model designed for Warpac members, with the 9.12B being further downgraded for export; North Korea has thirteen 9.12Bs.

>>27798632
>not amerilard
>on /k/ anyways

shameful

>>27799402
North Korean Fulcrums kept on QRA duty are always comprised of four aircraft from two different units, in order to prevent defection. Same as their placement on the DMZ; the North Korean guards closest to the DMZ watch each other to grab one before he sprints across, with a third looking back across the North Korean border to identify defectors before they can enter the JSA,

They're really scared of people defecting.
>>
>>27796326
it would be impossible for the american pigdogs to defeat the people's glorious air force, the filthy capitalists will run the moment they hear one of our jets fly over their heads.
>>
>>27798770
That's pretty fucking funny, to be honest. That place is so fucked up.

Do you think they realise how gay they look?
>>
>>27799437
I dunno, it's pretty practical. They're all competent at Taekwondo, to fuck up the Norks if they get uppity. The shades hide their expressions, and the half hidden stance allows them to pass signals surreptitiously.

But you're right. The JSA is a very strange place.
>>
>>27798731
NYpd, cia, secret service and civilian airshows would still win..
>>
>>27797526
Too easy
>>
>>27798632
660 breakfast, erry day

Fight me fatboi
>>
>>27799487
Na the half hidden stance is to take cover quickly in case the Norks start shooting at them, which has happened a couple times.
>>
>>27796326
>Would it be possible for /k/ to defeat the North Korean air force?
>>
>>27799487
Half stance is to allow them to draw their service pistol discreetly without the nork guards noticing. Gives them a few seconds edge if hostilities break out.
