Because I'm from Texas and am therefore legally obligated to own at least three firearms.

But for real though, it's because theyre useful tools. There are three species of venomous snakes that can be readily found on my family's ranch (copperhead, cottonmouth, and coral snake), and there is no safer way to dispatch them than with a 410. Yeah, personal liberty is great and all, but for me it's always been about a gun's usefulness as a tool. I value my safety, and that means killing snakes without getting close enough for them to strike.

Because I enjoy the activity and social aspects of sport shooting. I also am going to get into hunting to ethically cull the whitetail deer population that is damaging my local ecosystem. Also, because police do not have a responsibility to defend my life and property, so I will take ownership of defending my life, livelihood amd family.

I believe it is the right of all capable citizens to keep and bear arms. It is the truest way to ensure that I, am equal to my 6'5" male roommate and my 5'3" girlfriend.
