There were about a half dozen road signs as targets out for shooting, including swinging steel targets for pistol shooting, and we constantly placed clays out for people to shoot as well.

I think those who helped out were happy to do so, and to keep everyone who came less prepared in food and shelter. This is good and as it should be.

I hope that the lessons learned by the folks receiving a hand from others are remembered when packing for upcoming NFs though. No one can afford to feed 30 people who don't bother to bring food for a camping trip, and they shouldn't be asked to. And if you come without shelter, you should communicate that ahead of time and have something worked out with other anons.

Showing up and saying, "I need a tent and where's the food?" with almost nothing and no notice is bad form.

If you simply don't have it, that's fine. Just let people know ahead of time so they can plan for you.

What >>27783538 said. I went to nuggetfest never having shot anything but Milsurp bolt guns. I broght along my K98k and Webley and Got to shoot somany things I had never even seen in person before including an MSAR, 5.45 AK, M16 Clone and many others.

You would also be surprised how many people want to shoot things that you think are common. My K98 and Moreso my Webley were both a big hit it seemed.

Also, it helps to bring some common caliber ammo, even if you don't have a gun for it. Mind you, Don't do what I did and bring 100 rounds of each, but bringing a Mag or so worth of 5.56, 7.62x39 and 9mm is a good Idea, even if you just end up trading it for other shit

I wish I could have let more faggots shoot my suppressed 300BLK but I only had about 40 rounds of subsonic ammo to my name. Same deal with the bumpSAW: that fucking thing burns ammo so fast I literally would go broke if I bankrolled everyone shooting it.

I will bring much more handloaded 300BLK to the PA nuggetfest so more faggots can play with NFA. I will also have another suppressor in hand then.

So, faggots, bring your threaded barrel guns in 22, 5.7FN, 22mag, 9mm, and subsonic 300BLK.

Of course, if you have a SilencerCo ASR muzzle device you'll be able to mount my Omega onto your gun but I'm not fucking around with taking off my muzzle devices and worrying about torque values and timing crush washers and bullshit like that innawoods.

Subsonic suppressed 22lr is like shooting a pellet gun. Unfortunately I didn't bring it to MWNF. It will make an appearance at PANF, though.

CreepFinder and all the volunteers that made NuggetFest happen did a fantastic job of providing a completely safe time on the range and no one held back when it was beer o'clock. It was pure freedom all weekend.

To CreepFinder, BigDick theRO's and everyone who cooked and bandaged and cleaned and brought homemade Meade and amazing gun collections and even 'Ardy for the battery acid I want to say thanks again for giving all of us a fantastic bunch of memories. Someoof us are so ggreatful for all you people did for everyone. I could never have enjoyed that experience with out the Kindness's and generosity of others.

It was awesome. There was a lot of shooting (not so much drill, just think massive plinking), a shooting comp, lots of food, songs and revelry. Met some awesome folks, several of whom I keep in contact with now. My recommendation is to go.

Keep in mind that it is outdoors and camping and you should be fine, lots of people willing to help. It's not wilderness survival but it's not the motel 6 either. Weather occureth, but it is what it is.

I've been considering writing up a list of lessons learned through this and other camping experiences. Maybe I'll hop to it tonight and get feedback here.
