It's an M&P Shield in .40s&w, so very similar but even smaller. It kicks pretty hard and isn't very accurate with its tiny barrel so it really isn't that fun to shoot, but I can bring it along. Is the m&pc even on the roster? I thought only the shield and .22 pistol were CA okay. Smith and Wesson really doesn't want to deal with the DoJ's bullshit.

South OC guy, who is close to the actual area? I might want to go up the night before because of the distance I'd be coming, would be neat to not be there alone overnight.

Also, is anyone planning to stay overnight after? Is camping on site ok? What will the weather in the area be like, because I've been to Paso Robles before, it gets fucking cold there at night.

The only ammo I have enough of that I can bring and waste are 22lr and my own 9mm handloads (and I am bringing enough 12ga target loads for the amount of clays I have). Although I don't know if I want other people shooting my reloads for liability reasons. I have fucked up and had squibs before (twice in a few thousand rounds).

I'm not sure how many guns I should actually bring. I do want to take 2 handguns and my shotgun at the very least.

I really don't want to buy anymore guns and have them registered. I feel dirtied knowing that 3 of my guns are registered, one of them being an M1 carbine I just had to buy, but the shit registration law went into effect already. I'm going to go count my loose ammo, since I don't keep an inventory on those. Maybe i'll bring a garand if I have garand safe 30-06. As I recall though, I only have AP ammo that I won't shoot that stuff due to cost and that it's corrosive.

To get to it, drive down the road, you will pass the tumney hills BLM gate on the left with a vinyard or farm on the right side. Keep going down the road for a few minutes and you should see it. So im gonna bring a couple of steel pistol targets if anyone wants to aim small and shoot small lmao.

Also gonna bring muh dolly to use as a zero target stand, since I and probably some others might need to zero their shit. I stopped caring about registration after i realized, all gun stores keep records of sale, and there is a record of every background check for every store sale.

I stopped buying used guns in this state since most sellers believe NIB is 1000 rounds or less and they should charge an extra 200 over msrp since they broke the gun in for me.

I spent 800$ for a otherwise pristine model 12 that was DIY level converted to a trench gun (finish on the receiver justified the high price, im talking original bluing without a scratch and internals looked factory new, plus takedown parts where in tact). Problem is I didnt realize how bubba'd the heatshield was until I tried to take it off (and i cant do that because the previous owner epoxied or loctited it to the barrel), also it was canted and the mag tube was loose and not propperly placed.
One of these days im going to find replacement parts and remove the shield and keep it as a riot gun. If the damn thing wasnt stuck on the barrel i wouldnt have been too frustrated since i can rust blue shit well, but total cost for replacement parts and labor is exceeding 500$, which i would rather spend on ammo.
