Punching with anything in your hard or on your knuckles is asking for you to break some bones, and not your indeed target's bones, either.

you know that boxing is more dangerous with gloves than bare knuckle right? If you don't have a base layer of protection you will break your own hand.

Just strap a slam-bang to your forearm. At that point you're probably so fucked that if you do break a bone turning some dudes intestines into 5th avenue salsa, it won't be the worst thing that could've happened.

Depends on what more dangerous constitutes.

Over a long stretch of period the weight of the gloves act somewhat like a blunt object leading to more damage to the head(Especially during sparring where people think they are safer and typically absorb more punishment just because they have a few ounces of foam headgear protecting their brain piece).

Bare knuckles superficially fucks someone up worse any day.

Handwraps are to protect the hand from expanding while punching since there are so many delicate bones in the hand and wrist. Gloves are supposed to do most of the job protecting the knuckles.

Alternatively if your knuckles are fucked up all boxing punches can be converted to open palm strikes.

A bare fist clenched around a roll of pennies does some serious damage if your punch lands, but you can also break your own hand. Just make sure your fist is clenched as tightly as possible to minimize risk.
