/k/ I keep hearing Stock glock sights are shit and I'm thinking about getting aftermarket sights. I don't know much about handgun sights in general. So I figured I'd ask you all for recommendations.

I dig my TFOs, they're bright in any lighting condition.
I have a set of green meprolites that have held up really well.

Thanks I'll check those out. Also do you notice a big difference in your shooting between stock sights and those?

I've never had an issue with Glock sights. The only reason to change them is if you want night sights. Otherwise if you have problems with the stock sights you're just a shitty shot and should probably practice.

I switched from the usual 3-dot to those, and it's noticeably faster to pick up the front sight and get a correct sight picture. Also the tritium vials are very bright.
I was kinda adverse to the blacked-out rear sights at first, but after getting to try them out it's very intuitive.

Nope. Get a sight pusher or go to a gunsmith. My local shop did it for free in 15 minutes.

yes, if you at least have a bench vise and some brass punches.

Huge difference, though I don't really mind the stock sights as much as most people.

If you use a sight pusher it's pretty elementary, I wouldn't recommend hammering them on like some folks do.

It's because they are plastic. I put a fat dent in my front site when I dropped my slide from about a foot and a half onto the linoleum counter when I was cleaning it.

That's fair.
