I think Arma used to be approved but then something shat bricks about it.

SWAT3 was awesome and had the most realistic simulated bullet penetration into materials ever made in a video game, up to this day. SWAT4 was a piece of shit with ridiculous unreal engine penetration. The graphics were awful, particularly the weapons and characters, the animations were shit. There was some cool stuff like the tazer, pepper spray and the vip mode in multiplayer but that's it. Everything else in SWAT4 is garbage.

I actually really liked Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
It was a piece of shit for a game. But it was a realistic game. Sadly there's a reason realism and games doesnt mix well.
The game also didnt add much to the fps genre like BF3 did before it. It had kill streaks, which was kinda lame, but I liked the idea of being a tier 1 operator, using their guns. The recoil, design and attachments felt real, but I can see why many people didnt like it.
You were forced to use attachmets, you had to use sights most people arent familiar with(most people are used to red dot, eotech, etc.), etc.

Monster Girl Quest is my favorite game of all time, hands down.

you have no idea how much I cried during the second game when I came to the bad ending.

The story is really moving.

I started playing the game when the very first game came out. I was super excited for it since I had read the Mosntergirl encyclopedia, which the game was based off of.
I was surprised at how popular it got, after the second game, I couldn't understand how so many people could be drawn in on the premise, inconsistent art style, and just overall weirdness of the game. The whole game was a niche. I remember years ago starting monster girl threads on /jp/, and it was always just a very small number of anons, the same anons, in the threads. A single thread could last two weeks it was so slow.

I really think what popularized the whole genera was Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou. Since it was just an ecchi manga, and not a full on, kill or get raped game, it introduced a lot more people/normies into the group.

While having more people to talk to about monster girls was great and all, I fear that it's becoming too popular. With Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou getting an anime this summer, I fear secondaries might ruin the Monster Girl niche, and in all honesty, I am not looking forward to this influx of new 'fans'.

I don't want to go to cons seeing people trying to cosplay monster girls

I don't want to hear nornalfags endlessly argue over who is best 'waifu'

fucking casuals who don't even know the orgins of the games..

Some of us, like myself, have been in the nice for over a decade, remembering playing games like Lightning Warrior Raidy etc.

I think Receiver (made by Wolfire games) is one of the most realistic shooters $5 can buy; the weapon handling is done very smooth (once you get the hang of the controls), and there are no magical first aid kits or regenerating health; you're either hit or you're not. If you're hit you die, roll credits. It's a simple game, but it makes the most of what it's given.

If you're willing to handle one of the steepest learning curves I've ever seen in a game, DCS World is definitely worth a try.

Receiver's main problem is that its movement mechanics are silly and clunky.

The actual shooting and reloading stuff is interesting, but it doesn't make up for the fact that simply moving around the level is about as fun as having your jaw removed.

There is also, of course, no actual game beneath its shooting mechanics. You just wander around and blast two kinds of infuriating enemy types, one of which doesn't even move. Bleh.

Not all IL-2's are real IL-2, the name brand was sold to a couple of different companies off shoot games were made.

IL-2: 1946, and CloD were both made by Oleg Maddox and 1C Maddox Games, CloD was abandoned by Oleg halfway through.

There's IL-2: BoP on the consoles, dont mess with that, it's not really an IL-2 game, was developed by Gaijin entertainment for a quick money grab, they're the ones who make War Thunder now.

Then there's IL-2: Battle of Stalingrad. This also is not really an IL-2 game, and was developed by 777 studios who now own the rights to the name 'IL-2'. It's not very good, and is a strangely over priced and oddly marketed sim, that's not even that realistic.

Though they did also make Rise of Flight, which is worth checking out, you can download it for free.

With respect to the second part of your statement I'm just going to say no matter what CIG does, they will be criticized. And the road they have chosen is to put quality before time. So they rather have a few people complain about them taking time with the alphas and betas vs. a lot of people complain how a 77+million dollar game is releasing super bugged alphas. And if you think about it, the more work put into making the game stable now will help speed up development later.

I just hate that they put in a bunch of special snowflake guns for the cod kiddies. It's a crime game, the guns should be mostly pistols, with SKS's and AK's (wood furniture) and maybe some sub guns.

The Alpha let you have all the good shit from the getgo.

I played the shit out of the Alpha and did other things while they updated the shit out of it.

They make you go through several missions with just Pointmen (who can only have sidearms) before giving you access to the Assaulter class (who can have ARs and SMGs).

This has the effect of making the game way more difficult in the early levels, especially if you want to progress without losing any officers like I do.
