IT'S FUCKING HAPPENING.

IZHMASH TO SELL AK RIFLES IN USA AGAIN (by selling company to some random businessman).

>>
Fuck ya, US and Russia stronk fuck obooga
>>
>>23005569
While it would be nice if Russia and America could trade nicely together, I suspect Obongo isn't entirely the problem.

We'll see when Rand Paul takes office in 2016.
>>
>>23005572
No, its not purely king niggers fault but I'm sure he took a lot of pleasure in issuing the order and I hope something like this would be a nice little thorn in his side
>>
They're just gonna get sanctioned again.
>>
This could be great, but at the same time might bring more flack towards Russia, e.g. blacklisting even more shit.

Cold war attitude of some republicans is to blame as well. Russia nowadays is some kind of corporatism, not communism, they're willing to trade for whatever (up to and including high quality pussy).

They should have gotten their EU and NATO invites after 1989, instead they are pushed farther away so they have to rely on weapons exports. Their factories are producing weapons for Durkas instead of toasters for America, and you know what they say about Maslow's hammer.

"Ban all weapons of automatic!" Says Bara Kombo. Weapons of automatic caliber glue selector switch to single round shot.

"AAAARGH! Ban all weapons from the Russias!" Says Barcock Obomb. Machine factory shifted to Belarus.

Would be nice, but the closet we have gotten recently is when bush was in office, but relations still went south by the end of his term.

The issue is you have two nations that have ego issues, and different agendas that can't be put aside for very long unless the leaders have some sort of respect for each other, and even then it's a crapshoot.
>>

>They should have gotten their EU and NATO invites after 1989

You don't understand how the EU and NATO work. There are no "invites", they are not torrent sites. Countries have to apply for membership and then existing members decide whether or not those countries are let in. Many of those existing members being countries that Russia has occupied in its recent history, you can guess what the answer would be.

>they could have decided to begin trading with the new non-commie Russia again, but instead decided to shit all over them economically even more

Are you high on something? Russia is one of EU's biggest trading partners.

Poland received shock therapy as well, but they got a SHITLOAD of western investment to compensate, whereas Russia got zero western investment. In fact they were pretty nonexistent in the business world since 1991 to 1999, when some oil companies thought why the fuck not and invested in Russia. To just generalize how insane this was: RED CHINA THAT EXECUTED CAPITALIST INFILTRATORS GOT MORE WESTERN INVESTMENT THAN NEWLY CAPITALIST RUSSIA. They got punished for turning capitalist.

And people wonder why modern Russia dislikes the west... too many people still alive remember the 90s.

Well, many of the tea party fucktards still point at communism to explain just about every social problem in the US so good luck with trading nicely.

The reality is that we are at war with Russia even though the cold war is over. What happens if NATO gets a hold of Eastern Ukraine? A missile defense shield that will inevitably move into the area will be able to hit Russian missiles inside of the Russian border (within limits). We are also systematically purging the Middle East of Russian influence, hence the Syrian involvement.

Face it, we are still at war with Russia...or at least your leaders are.

I figured that was the case "off the books" but thought NDAA 2012 version was a first on the record of that situation

interesting I had no idea about AUMF

thanks for the heads up. I wish some more strict constitutionalists were running for national offices.

it seems like a lot of people dont even care about the constitution anymore

pic related but obviously it not just him its a lot of people even supreme court judges :/

anyone know of some constitutionalists that are running for senate? house? president? cabinet?

alan grayson is pretty legit http://youtu.be/9MbRrXkrYNs

it would never be allowed to get to that point, the entire reason for existance of alphabet soup agencies is to prevent that sort of thing during the cold war.

Russia will always be a threat so long as it is not broken up into a number of small states and/or subjugated by outsiders. Russia's geography ensures that it will always see aggression and territorial aggrandizement as their first and last line of defense.
>>

I'm sure they aren't simply feeling legitimately threatened because absolute retards post opinions like

Also, Russian weapons imports are banned anyway

Where's he gonna set up?
>>
>>23009092
>Russian weapons imports are banned anyway
No, Russian weapons imports from Kalashnikov Concern and its subsidiaries are banned.
Since KC owns basically all the weapons plants in Russia, you're technically correct, but the law doesn't target Russian weapons as a whole.
>>
>>23009118
what the fuck

I thought this, too, but a friend of mine showed me an EO that banned ALL guns from Russia

Now I can't find it

>>
>>23009146
Executive order 13662 cut off KC imports. It's quite specific to that company. Any transaction where KC is a party is now illegal. So no more imports.
>>
>>23009230
I know that, but there was another one apparently

Could have been a proposed one, however

Also, doesn't it have wording that any attempt to circumvent it was also illegal?

As in doing exactly this was illegal?

>>
>>23009253
Any transaction where KC is directly involved is now illegal, simple as that. Any circumvention would have to not involve KC at all to be considered legal.
However, the EO identified KC by its company name and address, so all you'd need to do is sell through a different company at a different address and you'd be golden, since KC is not involved in the transaction.

Parts directly from KC are also banned. I'm not sure if owning stock would still count as illegal. That's something you ask to someone who knows business law.

However, if you bought stuff from KC then resold it from your company, that would theoretically be fine, since KC has already made their money, and would not be a party to any future transactions between the reseller and the buyer.
>>
>>23009505
Oh, well the russian guy is buying up 3/4 of the company but KC is still going to have 25% of the company. This concerns me.

More than having KC imports banned outright?

If it does work, we might be lucky to get a few more months of KC imports before choomer-in-chief uses his magic pen to ban Russian imports outright. Good thing is that could actually get a rise out of Congress.

but as it stands we have a chance to get them rescinded after the Ukrainian bullshit goes away. Having them completely gone for only a few months imports is complete idiocy.

I hope it doesn't happen or that they move to Belarus, but I'm not confident enough to have that much hope.
