They carry nailguns, hammers, and saw things.

>>22770904

If you noticed the purple blobs on the ground (in the Flood containment center set up by the Forerunners on Halo), those are its' "ammunition". I wouldn't doubt that it loads from the bottom of it, below the grip, and then fed through the top through the grip and through some cheese grater like thing to give it it's shape. It's probably viscous enough to handle to get into the Needler, then it probably converts it into useful purple pointy things before being shot.

spartans are biological and mechanical augmented, without the armor they have been known to shatter bone in one punch, their own bones have been infused with high strength ceramic and are able to use all of their muscle capability instead of 1/3 like normal humans can, the armor is made of a high strength titanium alloy that further increases the spartans strength to be able to lift 3 times their weight minimum, with them weighing half a ton total

They do, they just go out of their way to make it as stupid as possible, some guns have reversed recoil so it gets more accurate the longer you hold down the trigger, some guns rather than reloading them you throw them and they explode like a grenade then another one with a full mag materializes into your hands

thats because the elites have a very similar armor, the spartans were created before the covenant invaded and were used just for higher risk military operations, but when the covenant came they were re-purposed and refitted with new armor that was improved by reverse engineering elite armor which is where the energy shield came from

Unless you play Anarchy Gaige, then your guns hold less ammo, but reload faster. It's based on percentage, so just in case your gun only holds 1 round like some Jakobs shotguns do, and you now have a gun with an ammo capacity of 0.

Also, you will be able to miss people right infront of you while killing people you can't even see with the ricochet.

Team fortress 2 minigun has some of the worst accuracy imaginable.

The guns in farcry 2 have no durability at all. Every enemy's gun works fine for them, but is a pile of rust the moment you touch it. Guns jam consistently then eventually blow up. Gold AKM will remedy this of course.

The "ar16" was a good attempt at the blood diamond colt CAR-15 but pretty far off still

Prefer Vladof, the ones that are just space AKs without too much fancy stuff. Doesn't matter if the individual shot doesn't do a lot of damage when you have 280-400 stacks, what matters is the shit tons of bullets going everywhere. Just mouse1+W in their general direction.

Also space AK.

Jakobs revolvers, Bandit launchers, Vladof assault rifles, Bandit/Torgue/Jakobs/Hyperion shotguns, Dahl sniper rifles and Hyperion or Maliwan smgs. But anything works with anarchy mechros.

Dont want to get into a nerd fight but the spartans were intended to be the best soldiers ever raised and molded to be loyal to the cause whatever it may be. They were trained to live and breathe war. The only thing they got from the elites that was added to the armor was improved shields. They had they're own shields WAY before hand. Which were perfectly fine against kinetic weaponry that humans use.

You are very misinformed with the Spartan III program.
http://www.halopedia.org/Project_CHRYSANTHEMUM

Spartan IIIs were recruited from children orphaned by Covenant attacks, which there were a lot of. They still had to meet some genetic requirements, but the augments had been made much safer and refined after studying what went wrong the first time around so the genetic requirements weren't nearly as extreme. Not to the extent they could inject anyone off the street with them, but still much better than what the Spartan IIs were put though.

They were given improved versions of all the same augments Spartan IIs got, in that regard they are superior. But they are considered expendable because they aren't outfitted with the powered armor, which was by far the most expensive part of the Spartan II program.

The wing things on the sides are radiators of some kind apparently. While they aren't identfiable in the game models, the books mention retro rockets and maneuvering thrususters all over. Artifical Gravity is a bit of an inconsistentcy. In the early books the UNSC had no artificial gravity, used rotating sections on bigger ships, and later stole artificial gravity plates from the covenant. Now they seem to have always had it.

What is wrong with the orbital defense platforms?

>radiators

I'll give them that. Maybe some sort of duel purpose armor/radiator assembly since it's fucking 2500 and meta materials are already a thing.

>retro-rockets
I'm aware of the emergency maneuvering thrusters that were frequently used to avoid plasma, but for a ship the mass of the Autumn to travel from the outer edges of the Reach system to Reach itself in a few short hours, it'd have to do a turn and burn in order to slow down from it's fuckhuge velocity. Those massive fusion engines on it's ass aren't going to be counteracted by whatever measly retro-rockets could be mounted on the bow.

>ODPs

Mac gun fires a round at .2c. Either the platform is flung into the Earth at .2c, or the exhaust from it's stabilizers flies toward the Earth at .2c. Either way, it's not the Covies that we need to be worried about in Halo 2.

>gravity plating

If the UNSC has gravity plating, why are they still using fusion engines? You'd think they'd finagle a way to build reactionless drives if they have that.

>>22777073

I'm afraid I don't see you're point. MAC fires, everyone flies towards the ceiling. MAC fires, everyone flies towards the forward wall. Either way people are getting tossed around, it'd just make more sense when the ship is underway to build the ship like a skyscraper instead of a bus.

Its a matter of the amount of thrust generated vs the mass of the object. Those defense platforms are huge, the MAC projectiles comparatively tiny. It also isn't a continuous stream of acceleration, which makes it easier to counteract

I have no idea. I feel like it would only make sense to have multiple satellites, and the game only makes the weapon itself so limited for balance/plot movement.

Most GOW weapons are retarded when you try to consider real life applications though.
>mfw the spread on any of the assault rifles
>>
I dunno why but all of a sudden I wanna make a vidya that follows every single libtard stereotype about "gun nuts"
Killing children, hi-capacity assault clips, blatant racism, etc. I'd make a thread about the idea but I dunno if this would be the place for it

Let's talk about this guy. This guy right here. This fuckin guy.
>full-auto carbine less accurate than an anti-gun ad
>goofy design allows for precisely zero attachments or different sights
>top part of rifle doesn't actually... do... anything...
>designers get rid of its one positive trait—infinite self-generating ammo—in favor of a 30-shot magazine which is nearly impossible to find anywhere, because reasons
>is also the standard-issue rifle for the 10 million or so active duty personnel in space and on the colonies

Holy fuck don't remind me.

The original concept they were going for made so much more sense. Basically you could carry around spare heatsinks and would have the choice to wait for cooldown like in ME1, or eject and swap in a new one for faster shooting. You can enable this with an .INI edit too, but its really weird with the UI not matching up
>>
>>22778392
I would just like to complain and say why couldn't it eat heat sinks and once you ran out you went back to mass effect 1 infinite ammo/overheating but no bioware is to busy gargling cum

There's a bell curve of realism. Game designers routinely cross it.

At some point a ship becomes so massive as to be effectively useless, because its too slow, requires too much in the way of resources to build or maintain, can be easily outmaneuvered, and retard-tier big ships generate their own internal gravity, which would gradually begin to crush its infrastructure from the inside.

Also, unless there's space magic involved
>big mother fucking ship
>thousands of ancient aliums on-board
>accelerates to FTL speeds
>decelerates at destination
>entire crew rendered into jelly
>>

In the absence of atmosphere, solar power is amazingly effective.
>>
>>22771244

Its still magazine fed.

Nuggets are also magazine fed.

Clips put rounds into a magazine.
Clips=/=magazine
>>
>>22778392

I think that top part is the targeting system. In ME lore, the guns have an advanced targeting system that automatically calculates adjustments for wind, weather, range, etc. Which is silly considering they shoot incredibly tiny projectiles nearly as fast as the speed of light.

Mass Effect 1 was an RPG with shooter elements. Mass Effect 2 was a shooter with RPG elements.

>Mass Effect 3 was a SJW circle-jerk that was so preoccupied with how progressive it was being that it forgot to have a good ending that actually made your choices throughout the series matter, and was so overwhelmed by real-world bullshit surrounding it that the game itself was overshadowed by the ridiculous controversies coagulating around it like a ball of infected puss and dried blood. Period blood.

It's just a large-frame Taurus revolver. I've never played the game, what's the reload animation like? Does it just have one chamber in the cylinder? Or are there 6, but you ignore five of them?

And? ME took a huge shit all over itself with 2 and 3. The shitty weapon selection wasn't even close to the worst part.

ME1 master race always. When I think "Mass Effect" I think of it as an one-off standalone RPG that sadly never got a sequel. Do the same as you will be happier and better in bed.

Incorrect. Halo 1 actually had a rather powerful engine behind it and all weapons besides the energy sword camouflaged. I don't see why 2 wouldn't have weapons camo as well.
