Well then I suppose it's time to dust off those old muskets in the armory and dish them out.
Paid off my P2000 today, Ive bought both of these in the past 3 weeks. I think I have a problem...

Campus Carry.
Does anyone carry on campus when they go to class? I sometimes CCW in businesses that have the little no gun sticker on the door. In my state its a very small fine if you're autistic enough to get caught. But I think its a much bigger charge if you get caught carrying in a building on campus. Is it worth it? Would really hate to get expelled because some nu-male caught be printing.
>>35129697
pro tip: don't live in a cuck state
>>35129697
I open carry my armalite rifle
>>35129697
There's no such thing as campus carry, work carry, hospital carry, or anything else carry. There's only armed or unarmed, and if there's no metal detectors, you should be armed. At least that's the mindset that I subscribe to. And yes, there is more of a risk on campus. You have to be smart about it
Would it be worth moving to Arizona for the gun laws? I'm a dental student in NC and have spent my entire life here, would it be worth the move for extra freedoms?
Just give it a try, I'm sure people in Arizona need their teeth cleaned.
>>35129501
Nope. AZ here. 25, never had a cavity, perfect dental hygiene.
I use Hoppe's #9 as mouthwash.
It's super effective.
>would it be worth the move for extra freedoms?
Can you enumerate the extra freedoms, and which ones you would utilise?
If not, it's not worth it.

Want a quality rifle within the 1k price range. As someone looking for a rifle which really kicks (high, noticeable recoil), what caliber would /k/ recommend? Would prefer not to spend more than 70¢ per round
>>35122250
How is the Marlin 336C in .30-30?
>>35122272
I own one. Love it. It's great fun to shoot.

Yeah, no. Not factory new, and not unless you roll your own ammo.
.45-70, older Marlin or Winchester 1886, before Marlin got bought by Freedom Group, and before Winchester started their rebounding hammers and tang safeties shenanigans.
In this podcast a SEAL talks about the worst sounds he has ever head come out of collective group (but he doesn't describe it)

I consider myself a bit of an aural connoisseur, but I can't find any proper clips of "noise making" from combat casualties or simple accident victims. What noises (with examples) does a combat victim or accident victim make? I doubt its just boring Hollywood-style faux-screams.
>>35120903
>Hollywood-style faux-screams.
Fun fact that is most likely the same scream used over multiple times. It's called the 'wildhelm scream' I use to hear it in dozens of movies and thought I was going crazy that they all sounded exactly the same. Turns out there are two major sound effects guys that edit in sounds for most movies, and they had a gag going on seeing who could slip it into the most movies.
>>35120903
I've seen videos of guys getting shot. They normal don't scream like in the movies, instead they groan. It's a groaning sound like a teenager getting out of bed, but exaggerated. Also a mix of a struggle to breath. This video is one example: https://youtu.be/5bsAMSQ13bY
>>35120974
The sound the SEAL was talking about was a collective group of 100 or so injured making whatever noises. I can;t find any videotaped scenarios that can give me a sense of the sound. Also Liveleak's search engine sucks.
Appreciating Glock is part of growing up as a shooter.
>>35118141
Liking Glock is babys first week of hasguns.
>>35118141
I wouldn't call that unpopular - more like common sense.
>>35118154
You'd be surprised how many normies don't like them. They're ugly and a lot of people want something that's their own special snowflake. Plus a lot of people still want a safety.
I've helped a lot of people pick out handguns and very few want a Glock at first.

Glocks are just too boring for most new shooters who are seeking some form of novelty.

Police uniform.
What kind of firearm does a downed pilot carry? Handgun?
They take the gun off the plane. That's why they were gonna kill the a10, the downed a10 pilots couldn't carry a gun that huge.
Either a handgun like an M11 or at most a PDW.
Downed Helo pilots, as well as Tank drivers (another kind of pilot) both generally have whatever service rifle their military fields. Not too sure about Jet pilots, but the larger aircraft like C130 also have rifles handy
In all likelihood, I will be moving to southern California for work by the end of the year. So they will get one more pro gun person, however owning ak and ars is a pain there and im not particularly attached to mine. I have always had a boner for the garand action.
So if you had the choice. Would you get a mini 14 and mags and ammo, or an m1a socom 16.
I know the mini is a whopping 3lbs lighter, but the m1a hits harder and should be there more accurate. Recoil should be more on the m1a but not punishing as the muzzle break appears effective.
What do y'all think?
Fyi I'm a 5'4" manlet.
>>35066858
Not to hijack with the first comment, but I've been thinking about a mini 30. Any reason you prefer the 14?
I'd consider getting the Scout model M1A. From what I've read people say that the SOCOM is too short. Personally, I have the full length one.
>>35066858
They have cap limits so get the M1A scout

Is it worth it to go through the uncertainty of buying a used gun online, or are the pros of getting a brand-new gun worth dealing with the lock?
You'd be giving shekels to a business that bent the knee to the DNC, that lock is called the Hillary hole for a reason.
>old s&w heavy frame
save your cash, it will be worth it
>>35135521
The guns with locks are fine.
That said you can get a nice condition 686-4 for the same price as a new one and you'll skip the MIM parts and lock.
