I think I have come up with a reasonably good plan for home defense, please r8
>Primarily use a suppressed FNX-45, with a back up glock26 or revolver or something as my HD defensive action
>Keep the firearms close to me at basically all times while at home
>Do not easter egg random guns all over the place for HD like some hillbilly
>Instead easter egg Good quality HD Pepper Spray or Gel everywhere in every room in case of an emergency, is less dangerous to young hands this way but still useful
>Invest some good money into Camera Surveillance system outside of the home with remote monitoring
>Have a TV next to my desk and bed for 24/7 camera monitoring

>Get and Raise a good Dog that is protective and useful in case Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck tries to break into my house to steel my dad's favorite basketball shorts and basketball shoes to use in a basketball game against alien invaders

Alrighty /k/ I am in need of some help.
I know jack shit about weapons of any kind, I used to have a .22 as a kid and that's about it. Just wondering how many bullets do you guys on average bring with you to the shooting range?
Because it seems like 3 or 4 boxes of bullets will go by in a matter of minutes.
Do you guys do any other types of practice drills at the range without ammo?
Practice drawing from the hip?
Movement drills?
Google maps says the average time spent at this local range was 20 minutes. It's a freaking 1 hour drive, each time.

Lot of things you can do to break up your time. Play some shooting games. Make some poker variants and use card targets. I used to play "Texas shootem" with my mom. We'd deal two cards then shoot 2 cards each and see who came up with the best hand. We'd call the target so the other person could spot and take a shot. Sometimes we would intentionally call the card next to what we were shooting to throw off what we're actually trying to get. You could try shooting some black powder guns, having to manually load slows you down a LOT. BP and balls are both cheap too.

Taking said weapon or suppressor across State lines falls under NFA regulation and prosecution.
To register with the State Militia one must submit to a background check, to determine criminal status and residency. Once that is completed, you are issued a State Militia ID, to be possessed and required for purchase of NFA items.
If in time of war, Citizens are REQUIRED BY LAW to report to the nearest National Guard depot to muster and receive orders.
