What happened to K-219's missiles and nuclear payloads?
>>34199985
Well I could tell you, but what every you do, DONT LOOK IN MY BASEMENT CLOSET.
>>34199985
Most are on the sea floor inside their silos, a few may have been recovered à la Glomar Explorer.
>>34199985
>Several missile silo hatches had been forced open, and the missiles, along with the nuclear warheads they contained, were gone
So someone somewhere has stolen nuclear missiles. I mean it's probably the US but still.
Should I get a shield, g43 or PPS?
I like the glock because it's the smallest but the other two are cheap now with rebates. Will the glocks ever start going down in price?
Also like the shield fuddy five but I think the skateboard tape grip would be uncomfortable to carry.
Thoughts?
Grip on the clock 43 is too dinky. You have to get mags with the extension floornplate. The capacity is 6 plus 1.
Might as well get a shield with the better grip and higher capacity.
The 43 is probably the worst of those 4. I'd get the Shield as you'll get the most options for sights/holsters.
Shield if in 45
pps if in 9
Hello /K/,
I won a giveaway for a Glock19 gen4, I'm not big into Glocks, but I'm happy for winning a full-size handgun.
I had a coworker saying he wanted to maybe trade me for it. I've been wanting an AR, a cheaper but dependable maker, however I'm not sure how gun trades work out. Do you generally go off gun values new and used and judge values based on that and hope your trader takes your deal?
Had a guy say a glock plus 200 bucks for an AR was fair but it sounds crazy to me.
>fullsize

See what the price of a new one is and deduct 10-15% off of it and sell it for cash. You'll find a buyer easily. With money in hand you buy or build your own. Since you'll be buying look for s&w you can get them for about $500 often less. Cash is king and buying a frankesteined ar is often a bad idea unless you're very familiar with the platform. As always, best is to build your own for
Sell the glock
What does "cycle the action" mean?
Specifically, in another thread, a /k/ommando addressing the question of whether or not firing a semi-auto gun too quickly can damage the gun, said the following
>Certain shooters may be able to actually "outrun" a trigger but the end result is a dead trigger. Cycling the action will reset and you are good to go again.
If that happens, what has to be done is just rack the slide/charging handle once? Or does something more have to be done?
And what exactly happens? Like does the round get chambered but not quite right, or does a round not get chambered at all after a shot if the trigger is pulled again too quickly, or what?
Yes I know this is a stupid question, yes I am a nogunz newfag
I think he might have been pulling your leg anon. With military-style weapons (PTR, AR15, M1A etc) at least, you will not be able to pull the trigger faster than the action cycles. These weapons were designed with fully automatic fire in mind, even though that feature isn't present the design doesn't change and the weapons are capable of the same same cyclic rate of fire. You simply cannot outrun the action because it's designed to fire faster than humans can pull a trigger, that's the whole point of fully automatic fire. As for civilian style semi autos, the only one I own personally is a browning .22 that fires as fast as I can pull the trigger. As for centerfire hunting rifles, handguns and semi-auto shotguns, I have little experience and not much to offer so I may very well be mistaken in my assertions.
Of course this is just anecdotal evidence and I'm sure people will chime in with their own experiences and disagree, that's fine, I'd like to see what others have to say myself, but that's just my 2 cents.

This is the 3rd time I've seen this thread in 2 days.
I'm leaving the People's Republic of Maryland for Macon, GA this August for school. Is there anybody in the area that can reccomend ranges and archery shops?
Pic unrelated.
Alright I guess I'll just go fuck myself then.

Welcome to Murderland dude. If you live/can make the drive, I like to shoot at Elk's Neck state park. It's one of the most northern exits on 95. You can car camp and "hike" in one part of the park. The range sometimes has a master, but if you go on a random weekday that's not hunting season there's a 50:50 chance you'll have it all to yourself. If not, most people are pretty chill and you can work together to call cold/hot. There's 200 yrd high power rifle range, a pistol range, archery range and two decks for clays.

Also- Coming from someone who lived in Baltimore for a decade, you could prolly also just go inna hood and shoot however the fuck you pleased. Especially after the riots, cops DGAF about what happens out there.
Hello /k/, I'm interested in buying a cheap reliable rifle. I don't have any specifications for the rifle. I was going to invest in a Mosin Nagant, but I thought I should come here first. Any advice is helpful. Thanks!
>>34199169
They're not longer viable for cheap shooting. Both ammo and rifle have gone up in price rather steeply since surplus dried up.
>>34199169
Ar15 or Stevens 200.
Savage Axis can be had for roughly the same price as a Mosin. It can be chambered in commonly available calibers (.223, .243, .270, .308) and is a new production rifle. A new one can be had for about $280. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/savage-axis-223-remington-bolt-action-rifle
A used one can be had even cheaper and with a scope usually thrown in.
Just keep that in mind. Here are some more prices and sites to get them from.

>>34199070

Start digging on the internet.
Spoonfeeding is frowned upon around here.
>The bottom row middle is an 80s era paratrooper commemorative medal
That's all I got for you.
Any advice for re-finishing or removing scratches or scuff marks?
>>34198922
Scratch it more so you dont notice that scratch.....
>>34199662
And then place more scratches around those scratches.
>>34198922
>this
just spray all over the gun. That way when you choke start your gun you wont get paint poisoning

A few months ago a Nevada anon had posted about an encounter they had in and near an abandoned mine shaft in Nevada. Their 308 apparently did jack and shit to whatever was chasing them out of the AO. Several anons threw in support for a possible team meet this summer to return to the site and hopefully bag one of anon's critters. Any updates on that?
If you believe some type of forest ape is living in the woods then fine. I see weird shit all the time but your thread will get derailed with "skinwalker" idiocy.
The last post I think was they had identified a possible location for the shaft and the molemen. They had discussed going. No idea if it went past that.
What does /k/ eat when their at the range? I pack brownies. Does /k/ like brownies?
Fuckin' love brownies my man.
>>34198463
I like to bring my "special recipe" brownies to the range for everyone to snack on
I've been away from /k/ for a while. What's this meme about?
Deciding between a Marlin or one of those CZ scout rifles like the 527. Main difference being Marlins are lever action and CZs are bolt. Is it a personal preference thing or does one outshine the other in terms of fire rate, accuracy, reliability and so on?
Honestly, either is fine. Just depends whether you like the cowboy aesthetic or the 20th century aesthetic.
Bolts are easier to maintain and scope. Also there is a wider aftermarket. I like Savage bolt guns but as long as you don't get a new Remington you're good.
>>34198652
No preference, I feel like bolts would be easier prone though. Not that I do a lot of that but just in case.
Alright /k/, let's say you're about to go full Psuedocommando. What guns in your possession would you use?
1. Rifle or other long range weapon
2. Shotgun or other short range weapon
3. Handgun
4.Knife
>>34198320
a bolt action remington 700 in .270 with iron sights.
>>34198320
ATF pls go
Still though, I gotta admit that Maple Snake was aesthetic as fuck,
Is there maybe a shared /k/ sofrep account?
There seems to be shitton of neat stuff but I am a poorfag slav who can't afford the subscription.
Hello /k/. So I have no clue how purchasing a gun works in my state. I live in Minnesota. I've looked into the pirmit to purchase form but it asks for a dealer and stuff so do I have to bring the form with me when I go to buy a gun and then bring that to my sheriffs office then have a waiting period? I have zero clue how this works. Also if I don't have a permit to carry yet can i even bring it home or do i need to take that class before? Obviously I have zero clue how this works and I don't want to look like an idiot.
Every state is so vastly different my experience cant help. I would suggest going into a gun store, or a sheriffs office and asking how the proccess works.
>>34198014
Just walk in and take whatever gun you want. If the dealer asks what the hell you're doing, just laugh it off and say, "put it on my tab," and wink at him. He'll know what it means.
>>34198014
why don't you ask the local gun store how it works even if you don't intend to buy anything at the time.
