So, I want to buy an AK
I'm looking between either a WASR from classic firearms, or an SLR 107-11. I plan to use it for mainly the range and for innawoods.
Thoughts?
Hey /k/, lurk fag here.
I'm turning 18 soon and I want to buy a handgun to learn about guns firsthand, and also to defend myself.
More focused on in home defense, and I doubt I would carry it anywhere other than a range.
So, what should I get? I live in FL (US) and I'm not the richest guy but I do have some savings. Also keep in mind that I have never shot a gun, and only held my grandfather's hunting rifle once or twice.
Forgive me in advance for stupid questions, I just don't want to buy a shit handgun or one I couldn't manage.
Shield is always a great choice, that's what Coach uses
/k/ is jealous of this man
>get BTFO so hard that you have to create another thread
I shot for the first time with that gun. Can you tell me what is the name of it ?

Looks like a Samaf 3rd edition.
I am a 30/m in Ontario and I am interested in the idea of having a weapon to use for sport and alternatively for protection. It could be a pistol and any kind of entry gun. I am not a gun enthusiast.
What are the laws like in Canada? What do I need to do? I have depression/anxiety on my heath records but no criminal record and I am treating my issues.
Is this something I should even be worried about? Should I look into something like non-lethal protection (ie. paintball guns) instead?
>>34227350
Why the fuck can't you just google it
For long rifles and shot guns you need what's Called a posesiton and aquasiton Licence or PAL for short. For hand guns and "tactical" rifles you'd need a Restircted PAL or RPAL for short. You need to take a safety course and send some papaerwork into the rcmp and wait. Google Gun safety classes for your area

stfu... I am trying to figure out if it's even worth it in Canada.
It happens that I live in yurop and I'm and avid collector of East German NVA items. The only thing missing in my collection is an authentic Mpi-Km, deactivated of course, because of EUdSSR gun laws.
A few weeks ago, icame across this website:http://www.tworiversarms.com/MPiKM.htm
Could I order these guys to make an Mpi-Km according do EU deactivation standards (the ATF considers cutting up the reciver as deactivation, which is illegal in europe, but their website states they're open for other deactivation ideas)?
Alternatively, I have an orignal (deactivated) 1975 Tula AKM, wich is deactivated according to older european standards, the bolt and trigger are still moveable and the magazine can be taken out, wich is impossible with guns deactivated according to EU standards after the 8th April 2016. Could I just send this gun to them and ask them to apply correct east german markings, serial numbers etc.
The downside of this is of course, that the gun will be further raped according to both american and european laws.
The third alternative would be sending in a cheap denix replica you can buy everywhere in europe, and let them apply markings etc., but I don't know if that's legal and I they do such things.

Why don't you use a local shop?
I mean just ask them if they will do.a yuro deact.
Shipping might be an issue if they send it from the us not sure how it works for shit like that.
>>34227540
Because you can't get those guns anymore since almost a year. Most have been bought by other collectors and there are no new ones to be deactivated.
This pertains mainly to the "things that go boom" subsection of DDs (explosives, grenades, HE shells, etc). Let's say you're made of money and you want to buy and use a one time use destructive device (pic related). Once you've used said device how do you tell the ATF that the device has been destructed and that you no longer own it?
>>34227277
Throw it in their office, I think they'll figure it out pretty quick.
>>34227277
>Once you've used said device how do you tell the ATF that the device has been destructed and that you no longer own it?
You send them a letter saying it has been destroyed and ideally some proof of it being destroyed. If you own an NFA item and you destroy it you are entitled to a portion of the tax stamp back but i've never looked into that for a DD

>call ATF buds
>have barbecue n shoot
>finish off with a bang
So if you're using garage tools, which would inflict a more serious wound? A phillip's head or flat head screwdriver?
I'm thinking the Phillips because of the groves
>>34227131
Flathead. It's much easier to punch nice puncture wounds with a flat blade than with a bluntish Philip's that will just create drag.
Everyone knows you always go for a Robertson
>>34227146
Never thought about it that way, I guess if you angle a flat just a bit the corner would go in easier too.
>>34227180
The fuck are you on?
Anymore info on this?
Its the klobb from goldeneye right?
>>34226265
That's not a PM-63 is it?

It's a FAMAS

convince me not to buy a sig 716, i want a 308 and have 2000 dollars to burn + separate pool for optics
>>34226206
no. they are amazing guns.
>>34226206
>>34226268
Are they actually good? I've heard accuracy was shit on them
I'm trying to establish Flemish independence. What're some good weapons and essential items I should take with me?
Independence from Belgium?
If that's the case, have you considered bringing some Germans?

Those spineless krauts lost are too weak and comfortable nowadays
>>34226038
get some bottle rockets and m80s that will have you all set up to take france.
Why does this thing have such an unreasonably big handle? What are they trying to prove?
>>34225900
Do you mean the charging handle?
It's because bigger things are easier to manipulate under pressure
>>34225900
It was so French soldiers could grasp and throw it with both hands as they fled.

Well meme'd meme brother
>tfw the battle of mosul will reach its eighth month on friday
How does this happen? They were outnumbered 10:1 at the start of the battle. More civilians have been killed than ISIS were ever present in the city.
What sort of tactics and defenses does ISIS have in place to put up such a stalwart opposition?
Urban fighting is the worst and the main combatants are poorly trained Shia militia. Its not hard to figure out why.
>>34225818
Arabs are shit at fighting
>Civilians everywhere
>Suicide bombers everywhere
>Massive amounts of buildings to clear
>Terrorist attacks behind the lines
>Hundreds of thousands of refugees to evacuate
>Littered with booby traps and ambushes
>Every single ISIS fighter is there to die killing as many soldiers as possible
It's fucking hell on earth. A car bomb can fuck up an entire unit and ISIS have used six hundred of them at least inside the city alone. The amount of warning before they detonate can be seconds.
Would a revolver be a bad choice for my first gun?
I'm kind of a fag for cowboy shit and want to git gud at shooting targets and stuff.
No. Check the catalog for the revolver general. No need to kill perfectly good threads for QTDDTOT.
>>34225793
STFU. It's not like there's a daily thread limit.
>>34225772
They are really fun, but they are just toys nowadays. If you plan on doing anything more then plinking get a DA or DA/SA revolver.
What is the best branch to join in the US military right now? I heard the Navy is hurting and the army is super liberal. How is the USCG or USAF or USMC?
>>34225755
Eat a dick frog poster. We all know you're not going to join. Who are you trying to fool, your mom, or her basement?
Navy treats it's enlisted the worst. On ship you're going to sit in a metal box for months at a time, the promotion system is a total shit show and your only freedom will be short ports of call. You can also literally not leave your job until you're back in home port. Think about that.
Army is swallowing the PC pill and is a steaming pile. It's so big that they need to make shit stupid for the lowest common denominator. Also every single post is absolute dog shit with the exception of perhaps Lewis/ Fort Sam because most posts are in the middle of fucking nowhere.
Air Force is the most PC and shit with shit work because they are undermanned atm for most postings. It is the most casual and run more like a corporation than anything else. It has the universal problem of the other branches in that mediocre performance and ass kissing is supported so those morons end up in senior leadership.
CG from what I've heard is great but hard to get into. It is saved by being small so you need to actually do shit to keep your rate in smaller units.
Marines are pants on head retarded that don't care if they break your body and have the dumbest NCO system in the universe in that senior NCOs go wherever the Corps wants them regardless of experience or rate, meaning a GySgt who has worked in fueling his entire career could be your new platoon Sgt in a rifle company. For reference they are pulling fucking MARSOC guys and putting them in basic training billets or support companies. Also enjoy being an E-3 for fucking years.
Don't bother with any of it.
