>Magpul stock/pistol grip
>Tapco muzzle brake/magazines
>wood lower handguard (the Russian laminate color)/cheese grater upper handguard
>Midwest Industries side mount rail
Did I do good? I'll do a before/after when it all arrives, here's the before picture though. All shitty Tapco stuff.
Oh, and this is my first time I've done this sort of thing so go easy on me.
If curious the magpul stuff is Zhukov/MOE AK+ respectively, and the Tapco is slotted. Handguard comes from Khyber Customs and I don't know much about the rail but it was the one everyone was reviewing on YouTube. From start to finish it took me two days.
At the end of it all, my total was $405. Tried buying everything I could from MidwayUSA to save money on shipping. I was gifted the AK, so that helped tremendously. Would've gotten a better muzzle device but I was aiming for ≈$400 and decided the $20 one was better than not having one at all. Most expensive items were the handguard upper/lower ($100), rail ($100), and zhukov stock ($100).
Lastly, fuck you /akg/ for not replying to my post and forcing me make this thread.
Not mine (shit hasn't arrived yet) but here's an image of one I found that it should look similar to if you ignore the magazines/optic/muzzle device. Pretty aesthetic IMO. /k/'s opinion?

How do anti nuclear missile systems work?
Eg does it approach it head on?
do they even work?
what is their success rate?
will they ever have a ~100% success rate?
Hit to kill.
Sometimes?
????
Probably not.
>>34362096
Last I checked the success rate was 40% for some of The US's systems.
Doesn't really matter when 1,000s of tiny warheads are flying everywhere.
>>34362096
They don't
What's the best starter gun that is new York legal?
Ruger 10/22 and a bus ticket to Pennsylvania.
You can build an AR with non pinned mags if you use a receiver spur grip, fixed stock and no muzzle device or bayo lug
Otherwise look at SKSes, Sporter saigas or mini14
>>34362092
Get an AR lower. Build to your tastes. Do not comply.
You guys need to UPDATE the stickies to include information for Safety for NOOBS.
If you are a NOOB and are looking to get into firearms, the best book to read is "Boston's Gun Bible".
It teaches you everything you need to know about firearms.
1000 pages long, it goes over safety, etiquette, backstory of firearms, and modern firearm training.
After reading this book, I am shocked to know that many "pro" youtuber safety instructors don't even know the 4 Safety rules of firearms, or the 5 different Conditions for Firearms.
Nothing, they know nothing.
Mods, update the stickies!

I'm thinking about picking one of these up as my next gun purchase, but I don't know anybody who owns one. It wouldn't be my main carry gun (I have a Sig P938), but I'd probably enjoy shooting it at the range, and I think I'd appreciate it for Colt's build quality more than I'd enjoy buying a Sig P238.
Does anybody know what sorts of improvements Colt did to the Mustang when they reintroduced the model a few years ago? Are the new ones more reliable? I've heard mixed reviews about the old ones, although I prefer the old style rollmarks and would probably prefer an all blued one, which isn't made anymore. Just looking for thoughts from anyone with experience.
I'm also thinking about picking up one of the Ionbond models for the front sight, but I've heard mixed reviews on the durability of Ionbond finish, and the rollmark on this one is somehow even uglier than the stainless model.
Here's an example of the original Mustang. IMO, any rollmark with a pony stamp is instantly much more attractive to any rollmark without one. You can also get them in all stainless, with a steel, not alloy frame.
>>34361707
Any reason you couldn't get an original if it's that important to you?

What are the advantages and disadvantages to using trenches in a modern war such as Syria or Ukraine?
Trenches and foxholes are still used extensively in Ukraine, but how effective are they and what is their purpose and tactical use?
>>34361601
they are stiff of great use if you have to defend a point
pro: they cover you from most flat trajectory weapons
cons: you obviously never dug a trench havent you?
digging holes to hide in will never not be useful
also they aren't tactical choices, they're strategic choices
get your buzzwords right
Trench warfare in the modern era is a sign that neither side is competent enough to execute offensives or regain the strategic initiative.
It's Sunday, /k/, and time to confess your sins.
I'll start.
I unironically like H&K (probably because I grew up with a lot of Cold War-era literature). I am a nogunz. I like Warhammer 40k. I also like the occasional humor threads and it's my favorite part of summer.
Probably some other stuff too but yeah.
What have you anons done?
>>34361555
I unironically know for a fact that the zumwalt is the best destroyer class in the world right now and for the next 50 years
I love my Remshit 870
I'm gonna trade an Auto-5 for optics tomorrow
I prefer having fewer guns that I use more than the opposite
>>34361555
I was a little bitch firing my first gun at age 12, a single shot, single barrel 20 gauge shotgun turned me into a nervous pussy.
Consequence of growing up in NJ I guess.
Does /k/ practice their deescalation skills? You can't draw on everyone and seeing that you aren't women most situations won't immediately deescalate themselves. And flashing your weapon can be considered a "terroristic threat".
https://youtu.be/AfMbN_MzCpw
What's the game plan?
>>34361380
Give them a hug.
>>34361380
Why don't police practice deescalation?
>>34361495
Because only cowards and women worry about deescalation.
You only deescalate because you lack power. You deescalate when you are the prey animal. The inferior.
You want to gain the niggers' favor, like a good little cunt.
I've only recently heard about the VSS and VAL rifles, as well as the AK-9.
Is anyone else interested in 9x39mm, or at least have an intellectual curiosity?
I'd love to have an AK chambered in 9x39.
>>34361248
Im interested in a lot of things, but yes. Also this and those 9x74r svds and 5.8DAP amongst others
I'd own one if the American cattle's right to bear arms was not infringed upon.
As it stands, I don't think they're worth the colossal hassle that would be involved in producing them and their ammunition.
>>34361329
Russia doesn't allow export of these weapons, so good luck.
I'm taking a road trip across country in a couple weeks. Starting in Virginia and will be heading out to Wyoming, then south to Utah and Arizona, then back east along the Gulf coast. I'm planning on bringing one pistol, but I don't have a concealed permit. Any tips for transporting a firearm across multiple states? Also, I shoot best with my XD, but would it be better to bring my 1911 in case I go through any states with magazine restrictions?
>>34361107
Just look up the laws for all the states you'll be in, most are pretty easy to follow. As far as the magazine, I wouldn't worry about it. Those laws are generally enforced at the point of sale or not at all. I live in Colorado and have bought multiple above limit mags for a couple guns, and I always use 30 rounders at the range with the AR and have never once had anything said to me. If you end up in NY just hide it really well I guess.
>>34361147
I'm definitely staying out of NY. California as well. Any /k/ spots in Colorado worth hitting while I'm out there?
Bumping. Any good spots /k/ recommends seeing out West?
