How in the fuck is it 2017 and people have STILL never heard of backing their shit up to an external hard drive then transferring it over?

As my instructor in college said, "Death, taxes and computer hardware fails. If you love something, make a backup. If you really love it, make two copies, check them frequently for corruption and keep one copy off site."

Well /k/, I fell for the SKS meme. Don't know why I got this instead of an AK for my first gun. At least I didn't fall for the nugget meme. Why do dumbfucks on /k/ still recommend this outdated and illconcieved weapons platform?

Anyone here have any experience with the CZ 805? I'm looking to pick up a nice short stroke gas piston 5.56 rifle and I'm really considering either an AUG or CZ 805 (which would also compliment my vz.58). The CZ 805 has been on the market for a while now but I've read very little of it here

The only complaint anyone has is that it is heavy. Otherwise it's good to go. I'm hoping to pick one up when I get back to my home state.
>>
It does have a bit of heft to it but its pretty spread out aling the feciver and forearm. Fit and finish is great, very solid rifle. I didnt get mych trigger time with it but overall, i liked it. Im really interested in the bren 2, which is supposed come to the civilian market late 2017, but who knows
>>
>>34361571
The Bren 2 is projected for late 2018, not 2017 and it's not a guarantee.

So suppressors.. It is completely legal to buy a suppressor in Tennessee without paperwork? Do they verify that you are a resident of Tennessee before they sell you one? Is it legal for someone who lives in another state to go their and buy a suppressor?

So, whats /k/ playing this sunday morning/afternoon/whatever time of the day it is for you? I recently found my copy of Rainbow Six Vegas for the PSP and I gotta say, its pretty good for a portable FPS

Its multiplayer was pretty good if not just for the settings

Back when this came out, other than CS and its cancerous playerbase there was no real FPS that had indoor environments as the main setting.

Having any at all was more than 4 rooms was pretty crazy. Thats why people loved the Shanghai level in BF4

Are guide guns a meme?

If I was a guide in the jungle trying to help people, why would I even use a bolt action? Any semi auto in a 30 cal would be superior.

Why? Just why?

A) Guides also have to follow the hunting laws

B) No, your semi-auto .30 cal is not adequate against charging dangerous game that the client has already failed to kill
>>
>>34353116
You're right. I'd want a lever action 45-70.

>faster to operate
>same capacity
>equal reliability
>4570 loads with 550 grain bullets can down an elephant

Plus guides don't shoot prone or get into firefights where a magazine needs to be swapped quickly. So it's perfect.

First chapter of volume 5. Enjoy.

Whats going on with revolvers?

It looks like there is the beginnings of a revolver hipster movement starting among younger people.

I've sunk so many hours into this game and it's still fun as hell, how the heck has this game survived the test of time so well?

I'm honestly baffled how shooting a bunch of slavs and mutants manages to stay fun for so long.

Why exactly is this game so good /k/?

also, post anything stalker related.

Simple, it has an absolutely fantastic atmosphere that has yet to be surpassed by any game today. That's the simple secret, it does one thing better than anything else.

As someone said in a youtube comment once about the many campfires you can encounter in the game
>In any other game this shit would be a scripted event along a railroad, or the characters would be there to dumb massive story exposition on you, but here?
>Nah mate, just a bunch of random wandering loners who decided to sit down and shoot the shit a bit, completely optional and adds almost nothing to the story.

Does any of you own P-90 or have used it?

I got curious after seeing it to be "chosen" in Star Gate series as the main weapon.

Even in fiction series, there must have been reasons for it, so id like to hear opinions about it and comments.

Is it actually a good weapon?

Colombian Army had them in the mid 90s. I shot one on an indoor range near Cartagena.

Crap trigger, but very ergonomic aside from that. I liked shooting it, though it wasn't for long and more of a passing thing. They were very excited about receiving it, along with numerous other FN weapons, and apparently put it to good use shortly after.
>>
>>34370468
PDW's fill a niche so small you'd rather have an SBR to fill the role instead.

Don't get me wrong the P90 is cool, and FN Herstal makes great (albeit overpriced) guns, but for what it's designed for there are other guns that would better fit it's role.

Personally I'd take a Honey badger or SR-635 over it.
