So this may not be a popular opinion, but I think the VP9 has a bad trigger.
The trigger is mushy, gritty, and seems to catch during both rearward travel and during the reset. The reset in particular is horrible. It's really weak, with only minuscule force pushing it forward, and it catches so much it feels like it's moving off and back onto my finger as I let it out to reset. It reminds me of my old original M&P trigger, except I can actually feel the break and reset. Everything else is just as shitty.
I thought maybe it just needs to be broken in. After all, every new striker-fired pistol has a gritty trigger out of the box. I know my Glock did, as did all the PPQ's I've tried, and they all smoothed out. The PPQs in particular turned smooth as glass in a few hundred rounds. Great. Was this true for the VP9? NOPE. 500 rounds through two different guns and they're just as gritty as when they came out of the box.
What's the deal here? Why does everyone hail this trigger as one of the best on the market? Did I just happen to get two extraordinarily shitty VP9s, or is a light break all it takes for a trigger to be considered good to most people?

Spray the trigger assembly full of lube and let it sit overnight, then clean it out with compressed air. You'd be surprised how well that works at getting the gritty feel out of striker triggers.

I've cleaned and lubed it a bunch of times already and have almost 600 rounds through it. Will that really do anything that shooting and cleaning it hasn't already? There doesn't appear to be any burrs or debris in there.

I had an idea for an online store /k/
As a former New Yorker, I know the pain of trying to avoid the bullshit laws there. Tons of sites refuse to ship anything to us period and almost all sites will honor the state's bullshit laws about magazine capacities and no ammo shipping.
What if I were to make an online store that specifically catered to NY, CA, MA, etc with the sole purpose being to sell any ammo, mags or other banned items to these states at a fair price. Rather than having to jump through hoops buying bullshit marked up "rebuild kits" and having to buy ridiculous ammo from the store I could just sell and ship banned stuff to anti freedom states.
As far as I know I wouldn't be able to be prosecuted because unless you're operating out of a state that disallows these items (I live in Florida) there would be no way for the states I ship to to prosecute me unless I got caught physically within the state.
To avoid legal trouble just put a mandatory contract you have to accept at the end of the order process saying "I know that I may be accepting items disallowed by my state, if I am caught I will not hold kommandoliberationLLC accountable".
Could this work?

let's say theoretically I didn't know I had crumbs of old food under boxes and clothing in my room, isolated to my room.
Let's say, theoretically, that I've been hearing crunching and squirming the past two nights.
Let's say in theory, that I found tiny black grubs when I moved things aside.
How do I kill them all with no survivors, with extreme prejudice, without burning my room to the ground?
I would do the last one but there's too many wires and such that'd fuck up the rest of the house which I know is bug safe. I basically want to kill them all personally without use of poison but make sure they all die, every last one. What is the most effective way to murder all these FUCKERS?
I doubt they could've gotten into my brain. My nose is stuffy, they would've needed to chew through a lot of snots, and they were to big for my eyes..

I used these when my house got fleas from watching my friend's dog. One in each room killed literally everything including the spiders on the outside of the windows. Just make sure that you pull everything away from the walls, open up all cabinet doors, etc to let it get everywhere. Follow up by washing all laundry and dishes and wiping down counters and table tops.

Oh but I can, and I will. I had the USMC assault pack that goes with ILBE pack. It's not the worst, but far from pinnacle performance.
The zippers are shit and give out and plastic clips break. I jumped over a small Creek once during Bridgeport and one of my shoulder clips broke, swinging the weight of my pack and damn near faceplanting.

Their is not enough info here. And it's highly subjective. It depends on the round and bullet construction. Their is typically a performance window where a round works best, so pushing the weight/speed too far in either direction will be detrimental to performance. Whatever the goldilocks zone is is dependent on the round and what you are shooting it at.

This might not help one bit, but:
Seeing as hollow points are basically prohibited for carry/SD in the european caliphate, I pondered the same question many a times when comparing common pistol calibers.
Ruling out .45 for price reasons, juggling between a 147gr FMJ and 100gr flat nose soft point 9mm for carry, reading back into ancient data (going back to WW1 studies) talking about flat nose cones (jacketed) doing more damage than round nose projectiles. There have been some shallow-cavity FMJ designs that never made too much noise despite trying to overcome the limitations (9mm CEPP).
My conclusion was, the design of the projectile is more than weight and velocity.
If you really want to do some damage while prohibited proper wounding rounds, a flat nose magnum revolver round is your best bet. If you have to stay with semi autos, some flamboyancy as 9mm THV might be worth looking into, if anyone makes them still.

AUG A3 (not M1) or FS2000? I'm wanting to fall for the bullpup meme and it's one of these two that I'm after. I like the looks and history of the AUG but I also like the FS2000. 5.56 and .223 FMJ is designed to fragment upon impact, so hollowpoints are mostly an expensive meme.
If you have a 16 inch barrel, your fragmentation range is probably under 300 meters (which is where most of your shots will be anyway). 20 inch barrel is probably 350-400 meters.
FMJ doesn't always fragment though, so that's why people buy meme-tastic $1/round hollow points.

Nah, you're fine. FMJ is what you want for target practice, which you need to do, and you'll shoot a lot more than $50 worth before you develop good habits and muscle memory. I'd Google "ar-15 home defense ammo" to get some recommendations on what type of hollow points to get.
