Time to admit your deepest darkest /k/ secrets
I'll start us off
>My great-grandpas old Rem 1100 gave me a bruise after shooting it and I secretly think it's him punishing me for being a disappointment
>I have no clue when I should clean my guns despite having lots of gun cleaning stuff
>I'm totally lost on how to shoot shotguns without fucking myself but if I make a thread on /k/ I'll get bullied (See first point)
Bad: I sold a batch of guns for cash so that I could buy a motorcycle. Wife got pissed so I sold the bike and gave her the cash.
Worse: Part of the batch was a Makarov. My dad just gave me his Hi Point 380. I prefer the Hi Point because I couldn't shoot the Makarov for shit, but I know I'm pretty good with the Hi Point.
>>34380562
I don't know why but I have an intense desire for a ton of mak clones. I really want one of those pa-63's but I'm under-21 and they are hard to find in my area
>>34380562
>Wife got pissed so I sold the bike and gave her the cash.
You should have just rode it off a high bridge. What in fuck, /k/omrade?
so i'm thinking of getting my first gun soon. I think i've narrowed down what I want to these two, but not sure where to go from here.
Thoughts and experiences with each?
Step 1. Go to gun store.
Step 2. Hold them and to see how they feel in your hands.
(Optional) Step 3. If the store has a range built-in, shoot the guns and see how they handle.
There, now you've done it yourself!
>>34380546
What this guy said. You really can't go wrong with either. I got the vp9 because it fits in my hands better, and I don't see myself waiding through the jungles of vietnam anytime soon. I can answer any vp9 questions you have
>>34380546
Basically this, I own a P320 and have shot a VP9 and they're both pretty solid.
Just picked up a makarov from my local pawn shop as my first pistol for $250 with one magazine. Did I do good? Any tips for this thing?
>>34380202
which makarov? Bulgarian, polish, early or late Russian? How many boolets fit in the mag? Where does the slide seat? Either way that's not a bad price to pay. I recommend replacing the magazine and recoil springs, and stocking up on as much ammo as you can.
>>34380241
Bulgarian, I would take a picture but my phone is busted. 8 boolets I think, I just got it today so I still have to buy some ammo online.
>>34380202
Not great but not bad I suppose, but I'm comparing to way back when you could get two mags, a set of bakelite grips and dick grips, holster, and cleaning rod for a mint snakarov for that price, or cheaper depending on the sale.
Should I buy this?

>>34380135
I've watched the prices on these things consistently drop down for a year or two now. Honestly, I don't think it would hurt to wait and see if it goes any lower. Maybe black friday?
>>34380163
shit your probably right.
I already have a "pistol" AR in (((5.56))) I just want something to plink with idk.
If flandre likes it then it's good enough for me
Ok /k/ we all know Murica didn't win the war in Europe alone (unless you're a yankee faggot)
Now this is obviously a ww2 era discussion. Also for this discussion neither country is involved in another war/front. (The US isn't fighting japan and Germany isn't fighting USSR, Britian etc etc.) So all their recources are focused souly on war with the other nation. Both countries also have access to technological advances up to 1945.
>inb4 "where is the war occuring"
Both countries start the war within their respective territories. Germany can invade the US and vice versa.
>>34380105
America still wins. It has a much larger industrial base, population, and navy.
So the "muh soviets won WWII" meme is also ignoring the fact that Soviet soldiers were fed with American rations transported using American made trucks.
America had superior logistics and industrial capacity in 1939. The Louisiana Maneuvers modernized the US Army, and even if the Krauts got troops ashore, the Rocky Mountains and Appalachians are utterly impassable.
>>34380105
US wins.
Vastly higher industrial power, man power, and has the ability to hit the German homeland while the Germans don't.
ITT when that feel is bad.

A gun from Amazon prime
Alright so I've decided to get my first gun: An AR15 which I want to build myself.
Does anyone have a list of all the parts and tools I'll need?
>>34379928
Bump
I built my first rifle recently. Had a SAA stripper lower and a psa completed upper with magpul furniture and their lower parts kit. All i needed was a set of punches and a hammer. Only needed the hammer for the bolt release and trigger guard. Added magpul BUIS and a holosun hs503bu. What helped the most was having a gf as an extra set of hands, i live in an apartment so no actual workspace. Oh and an ar multitool to tighten the castle nut. My upper and barrel was completed already so i dont know what youd need for that.
>>34380036
How "completed" was the upper and barrel? I remember seeing "completed" uppers for sale without a bolt or any bits of a BCG.
And how much did you pay for all of that?
So i got a pistol-grip for my 590a1, but if i turn the bolt connecting the grip to the shotgun-"house", the trigger gets stuck as if the trigger was pulled. If i dont turn the bolt all the way, the trigger works but the pistolgrip and stock gets loose and untight to the rest of the Gun. Almost a bit wobbly. What do?
Picture semi unrelated
>>34379895
Contact whoever fucking made your stock and tell them your problem?
>>34379895
is that a mossberg factory stock? did you use the bolt from the factory stock or the one that came with the PG stock? sounds like the bolt is the problem.
>>34380095
I used the bolt that came with the new stock. I'll contact the seller tommorow.
I was playing World of Guns and couldn't help but notice how overly complicated the Beretta 92 is. I've never seen a gun in real life, but I'm pretty sure this means that the maintenance is harder, as well as the total cost in part replacements. Also, more parts means that more things can fail right? So I was comparing it with other guns that do pretty much the same job, and I found that there are extremely simple models (such as the Tec-9, in my next post) that you could even build yourself if you know how to handle machine tools; of course you could build a Beretta 92 too, but that's far more complex. So this begs the question, why is the Beretta 92 so popular and iconic? It's the service gun of many organizations around the world and an icon in video game culture, but however you look at it it's a shit gun. Is its popularity due to some collusion between the government and manufacturers? Who pushed this shit gun into becoming mainstream? How come better guns (and I don't mean only the Tec-9, but may other guns that are still simpler than the Beretta and do the same job) didn't take its place instead? What do people who use Beretta 92s in their jobs think? Are they only sticking to it because the brass forces them to do so? Am I right in thinking that the Beretta 92 is a shit gun? Discuss.

Stopped reading right there

>I've never seen a gun in real life
I want Eurofags to leave
>>34379884
For reference, pic related is the Tec 9. Has about half of the amount of parts the Beretta 92 does, and also they're much simpler. Caliber is the same and muzzle velocity is barely 20 m/s lower (this difference is enough to make it that at sea level the Tec 9 doesn't fire supersonic bullets, unlike the Beretta 92), it weights like 300ish grams more, and it's somewhat bigger. The point still stands, because this is not only about the Tec-9, but about other guns too. Also, I don't want to be that guy, but you can turn the Tec-9 into an automatic pistol, or even a SMG easily; be it legally or illegally. Enlighten me on the popularity of the Beretta 92 /k/.
How does /k/ feel about Glocks, HKs and other polymer pistols with frames in different colors than the standard tactical black?
>>34379860
lipstick, meet pig
I don't
Personally, I think grey looks pretty good as a two tone, but I can't rationalize why I like it, other than the chique factor. It's basically a fashion accessory at this point.
Hello /k/,
got my hunting lisense recently, bought a decent hunting rifle and am now looking for an ar15, but the buyers guide doesnt really apply in germany. Building one is not not possible since parts like the receiver or the bolt count as firearms and must be registered which costs around 25€ per part. So i plan to buy an ar, but most of the popular US brands like pic related dont exist here.
After looking around for some time i really only have 3 choices under 1500€:
Windam Weaponry SRC -1150€
Sig Sauer M400 - 1400€
Oberland Arms black label series -1400€
I would like to have a rail for my sights, so the OA rifles are my least favorite out of the options.
Do you have experience with the listed rifles? Can you recommend one?
>>34379831
Jesus tittyfucking christ, Europe...
>>34379831
I thought that germany had such strict gun laws that owning anything that is black is illegal
>>34379831
Why an AR? Why not anything else?
1400 fucking Euros for a SIG M400 sounds awful, though Windham shit for 1150 sounds even worse. I'd have to give it to the domestic manufacturer, here.
>calling a gun a "weapons platform"
>not calling it an "objective individual weapons system platform item object"
>>34379642
Sperg out about it all you want, but modern modular firearms that can accept a wide variety of optics, accessories, and even core components like barrels are a system of standards more than a single design.
Back in the day when a gun was just a gun, and the only thing you were going to be doing to it was a little action tuning or getting a scope permanently installed or something, you might have had a point.
Now though? The AR is a fucking weapon system or a platform.
>calying a clip a magazine
So, is this considered "nigger rigging" or do you guys know people that do this? I was gonna buy a $15 charging handle extension for my AK but then I heard about this technique and abandoned it for pic and video related.
Is this the gun equivalent of the custom xbox controller with bullet d-pad buttons?
Also sorry for making this thread a few days ago, I forgot about it until just now.
https://youtu.be/xmnu4T_I1MQ
And how the fuck do you get it off besides shooting 1000 rounds like the guy said?
>>34379609
Pliers, enjoy fucking up your finish though if you're using steel case
>>34379616
Ehh, my finish has already been through hell and back, and it's an AK meaning it's not meant to look clean. And the charging handle finish is like a hundredth of the gun's surface area so I doubt I'd notice it.
Good HD/CCW gun or nah? I want it mainly because it's aesthetic, cheap, and compliments my AK.
I'd rather get a Bersa Thunder Plus, but that's just me.
>inb4 .380 is too weak
Pic related.
>>34379815
Anything under 9x19 is too weak
.22 gets a pass because its for rodents and pests
>>34379844
If it gets between 13 and 18 inches of penetration in calibrated ballistic gelatin, then it's perfectly adequate.
