Is a SIG P229 in .357 SIG a good all around gun for carry and home defence?

Just get .40 or 9mm. Why do you want to own a gun in a unicorn caliber?

If you need more penetration than 9mm for some reason.
If the P-38J was a fast food meal, what would it be?
My grandfather was a mechanical engineer who worked on this plane, designed things like throttle linkages and such. He did a lot in his life, really miss him.
>>34609725
wasn't it fast food meal for japs already
>>34609740
My grandfather got kicked out of the navy for being too drunk
Literally no one likes the Hillary hole. Why does S&W still use this shit?
Future legislation proofing
It's easy. Just don't use it.
>>34609682
Why don't they just engineer a drop-in kit instead of adding a lock when no legislation exists and hasn't existed for almost 2 decades?
Are Colt AR's just a meme, or worth the price? There's an LE6920 for $750 that I've had my eye on.
they are high quality rifles just below botique rifle prices/quality.
You can build an equal or better rifle for less money/effort/research but with a Colt you can be reasonably assured you're getting a quality firearm for easy.
For $750 you would be hard pressed to build a better AR than a 6920 though if your priority was life or death reliability.
>>34609412
I'm pretty new to guns but reliability is my #1 priority. Just don't wanna mindlessly pay for a brand name. All the reviews are great but I'm somewhat skeptical of paid reviewers.
>>34609440
I have two LE6920s. Had them for about 5 years, shoot pretty regularly.
Form, fit and function are all 100% satisfactory.
Never an issue whatsoever. They are pretty much flawless.
No regrets whatsoever.
I'm looking for a lever action rifle and I've seen a lot of good deals on gunbroker. Before I buy something from the site, I want to know how it's gone for others. I've read a handful of things on the internet saying that you commonly get scammed, but on the flipside, I have also read things saying the people who claim that are leftists trying to scare people out of buying guns. Anyone have experience?
>>34609256
nothin but scams like all them computor sites you betta only be buyin local and supportin yer shops
>>34609256
just know what you're buying and you'll be fine. Use common sense and youll see right through the scams.
>>34609256
Yes I have. No problems
Who would win in a head to head fight?
A German "Light Battleship" of the Scharnhorst/Gneisenau type?
vs
The USS Alaska/Hawaii heavy battlecrusier.
>>34609198
Was this thread a little too adult for summer /k/?
>>34609334
100 Scharnhorsts made of 1000 folded Krupps steel and blessed by shinto Samurai battle priests
vs
100 Alaskas made of forged steel blessed by John Moses Browning himself and imbued with the eternal strength of Hamburgers and Hotdogs
>>34609198
Alaska wins because of having better main battery fire control and much stronger AA. That's the boring but true answer.
The Brady Campaign advises the family of a murder victim to sue Lucky Gunner, the family loses the case and is left having to pay Lucky Gunner's legal costs, they can't pay and end up in bankruptcy, the Brady Campaign leaves the family hanging out to dry.
I love it.

Welcome to like 2015 dude.

Lucky Gunner still had to pay the lawyers to defend themselves.
If the antigun fags could even convince a couple thousand tards to sue gun shops and sporting good dealers, they might run a bunch of small businessmen into bankruptcy, but it won't stop access to firearms.
More like don't trust anyone with a political campaign.
did you guys ever have to put down your own pets? if so what gun did you use?

Heads up: The house got their heads out of their asses long enough to pass legislation unblocking the Obama Administration's order to prevent about 100,000 US milsurp 1911s from going to the CMP. The bill is headed to the Senate for a vote after the summer recess.
Call your cuckhold senators and tell them to vote this through.
Im not archiving .gov and nra.

If this goes though we might see M9,M9A1,M11,M82,M500,M870 and M107 weapons hit the market.
Bump for exposure

why would you want a gun that some drunken 18 y/o frat boy tossed around for a few years?
