I plan to sail around the world what's the best firearm to have on board considering I am good marksman.
Why do many recommend shotguns?
I would rather neutralize a target before they get on board.
>>22810608
>I would rather neutralize a target before they get on board.
Extremely unlikely you'd know they are a "target" before they are well within shotgun range. 12g shotgun ammo is available all over the globe. Many other ammo types can be tougher to come.
Shotgun looks less "scary" so if you pull into a nogunz port you might have less of a chance of getting screwed with.
I'd still get a mini14 or some other "fudd-style" but high-cap rifle as well though.
Now tell me more about this day dream sail around the world shit.

>Extremely unlikely you'd know they are a "target" before they are well within shotgun range
I am a fucking dumbass
Anyways I know this sounds way too fucking romanticized but it is what I plan to do
What kind of boat?
I went through a boat phase. I fucking love schematics and deck plans.
Can we have more of these?

>Does it really matter?
It is true that strength does matter in Modern Combat (i.e. "rucking", military shit) but let's assume two soldiers using the same exact gear are the same weight/strength but different height.
>5'7'' manlet
>6'1'' man
Who would have an advantage in Modern Combat in?
>innawoods
>innadesert
>innaurbancombat
Pic related.
It only matters if you're very tall or very short, 5'7 and 6'2 doesn't mean much unless you get in a boxing match.
>>22800568
So no extreme's on the spectrum as that'd cause some obvious problems.
>>22800585
being tall is a hindrance
being swole is a hindrance
We always have threads about F-22 and F-35 and jack off about how great they are. So let's change it up a bit and have one for the underdog.
>b-but muh slavshit
Wonderful. You really should make a F-22/F-35 wank thread for that.
>lawl not even it's real engines
No, that's true. Look what it does with the current engines though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h08AxiE2HwU (ignore the "WORLDS MOST ADVANCED STEALTH" it's more autistic than people suggesting turboprops to replace the F-35)

Su-35S can come too?
>>22800939
Su-35 is great. T-50
Needs more radars.
Hey /k/ool guys. Last week I made a thread showing off a sheath I made for my kabar and some fellows showed interest in a similar sheath with a belt loop. It's not perfect in any way, but I made it to the best of my abilities. This is the second sheath I've made, and the first with a belt loop.
The spots on the stamping are dust from sanding. I'll have to find a way to clean it out.
It's a very thick, very robust sheath and fairly heavy.
Looks better the the fuck huge USMC EGA on my sheath.
Just got dumped by my girlfriend of 2 years. Dump /k/ related shit to take my mind off it.

So what would be the best camo for a forest like this? Flecktarn is not working there at all.
Pic related
standard woodland camo
Personally for forested areas like that I use CADPAT woodland/ ERDL
>be my grandpa, 1940's
>inna Japan by the end of the war, he's assigned to clean up the beaches
>picks Arisakas off dead japs and sells them to random GIs
>picks shrimps feeding off washed up bodies and sells them to GIs for food.
Yea, my grandpa kinda encouraged cannibalism.
Fucked up things your relatives did in war thread?
My uncle claimed he cut off the ears of dead soldiers in Vietnam at times, but I never believed him because he probably was full of shit.
>>22781240
what, he never showed you the necklace?
My grandpa died in Auschwitz so...
My grandma told me he fell off his guard tower.
Does K like my new AK47? Just got it off armslist for $750, a real steal right?
>>22776619

>>22776619

>On some models it looks like it would be really easy to singe your wrists and arms if not entirely cut them off
>What's the point of two blades?
>It's really bright despite being used in large part by stealth covenant units
There's probably some more that I'm missing.
>>22770556
all true, but it is cool and that's what the designers wanted when they make it, something cool and fun.
>>22770556
Well it IS alien design.
And Elites were samurai honor bushido whatever the fuck levels of retarded.
Back up/redundancies?
>>22770556
Its designed to look like two Sangheili Curveblades held together and because its mainly intended as a thrusting weapons so wrist injuries wouldn't be common, and its deactivated while being stealthy
If I wanted to do 3-5 day trips innawoods, how does the LK35 compare to an ALICE pack? The LK is about 20 bucks cheaper than the ALICE packs I've seen that come with frames, so I'm really tempted to pick one up.
Also, innawoods gear general?
The ALICE frame packs are uncomfortable as all holy hell.
I dont have any experience with the lk35 but you wont regret buying an alice pack.
>>22762728
Innnawoods general hu? OK I got a question as basic as it gets.
How do I find a location to actually go Innawoods / exploring / whatever without getting shot for trespassing?
>77627 area code

Anything new lately?
>>22766348

Really?
Iam the only one who like these things?

Thread is dead like Michael Jackson.
Just happened and I want to share with you /k/
>buy a trail camera for shits and giggles
>decide to set it up on the back porch to see if I can catch any wildlife snooping around at night before I went to bed
>at 2AM a human picked up the cam and placed it facing the ground
>the IR camera didn't get a good video because the person had a flash light and it flooded the recording
I don't know what to do. Here I was just fucking around and now I know someone was lurking in the middle of night. I didn't want to know this
Can you get a live feed from those things?
>>22745617
>Set up cam in different but similar area in hopes to see the guy if he comes back
>Call police if you get anything legit the second time
>in mean time load up mags, lock doors, close windows, and try to sleep soundly
contact your local authorities. IMMEDIATELY.
Load the shotty, hand on the pump.
