It has been years since a meteor shower almost destroyed earth. There are no governments, just really small communities created by few survivors. Food is scarce, and earth isn't that green anymore. But there is hope. Svalbard Global Seed Vault is a seedbank on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen near Longyearbyen in the remote Arctic Svalbard archipelago. I happen to have a ship, and I have all the intentions of doing an expedition to that island so I can help my community make earth green again. But I am certain I am not the only one to embark on this expedition, honestly I don't know if we would find the damn vault or if it's already been occupied by another faction. That's why I need guns for hire. Show me what you bringing.

You are now aware that in the last 40 years, the earth has lost 50% of its fauna. We are already in the midst of the 6th major extinction event.
>>23053180
You are now aware that 5,000 species of insect are discovered each year.
You are now aware that the 200 year old endangered species list fits on a business card.
You are now aware that you are full of shit.

Nigga you be playin too much AC.
Let's talk about our favorite medieval/ non- firearm renaissance weapons. I'm personally a big fan of the poleaxe. It's versatile, hefty enough to get put through a lot of abuse without breaking (the steel parts anyway), and just plain cool looking. It's also badass because it was a knight weapon inspired by farming equipment peasants would fight with.

Viking sword
I love me some axes. Not exactly as flexible as a sword or a poleaxe, but whatever.

Did you fall into a progressive downward spiral of strange pornography and fetishes?
>>23043228
Heh. I remember spending the entirety of my freshmen Economics course finalizing my transition from /b/ to the other boards. That was five years ago.
I can't remember the last time I was on /b/, but I CAN remember that the economics teacher actually thought that women made $0.73 for every dollar that men made. And she somehow didn't seem to think that if that were true, there'd never be a man hired ever.
/k/ related "the feels" thread. perferably military oriented.

Also Turner Diaries is shit and not /k/ at all which you would know if you actually read it and weren't 14.

Yup, I'm great at this.
Because most of my military firefights knowledge comes from vidya and basic info books I have the following 2 questions
1) Where do (professional) soldiers put their empty magazines? I don't think they simply drop them away like in games and movies unless something really urgent happens.
2) Ok, so the enemy is destroyed right? So you have shitloads of corpses with their weapons still possibly intact if they weren't blown up to pieces. Im sure nobody leaves them behind. Is there a military unit tasked to sweep up and gather dead enemies' guns & ammo?
Not a mil fag but want to know, i've heard different things in regards to both. I think that's point of the drop bag on a PC or rig and second I want to say checked for safety (ie they really dead and not trapped) then medical guys clear up. Least logically speaking.
Again my advice is just based on varried stories from vets of different eras.
>>23035007
1)Depends, if it's a life or death split second decision close quarter firefight, you're going to drop your empty mags, if not, you put them back in your pouch follower-up
2)Usually have people designated in each squad handling epw's, securing weapons, and dealing with casualties.
>>23035033
Medics deal with triage and living casualties, once someone is really dead, dealing with the body becomes a quartermaster function.

Hey /k/ I've been trying to work on my form recently while shooting rifles, and I notice that when I bring the gun up to my face, and don't lower my neck at all, only the lower half of the butt of the gun is actually touching my shoulder/chest. Is this normal? Do I have a long neck or am just doing something wrong?
It seems like I'd want the majority of the rifle butt making contact with me to help with recoil.
Solid squash cat. You look a little lanky. I'd get a cheek riser.
BTW. I have an orange tabby and he's quick to learn....but seems hesitant to actually go squashing. Tips?
>>23015775
cover some of his food in squash, once he learns to associate it with food he'll probably go after it.
>>23015775
I've found that orange tabbys aren't the best squashing cats. American Shorthairs perform very well in almost all circumstances, and Siberians are exception in Squashing competitions, but not casual squashing. Really, it's just reinforcement, however some breeds at natural squashers, and only need practice.

No, its not purely king niggers fault but I'm sure he took a lot of pleasure in issuing the order and I hope something like this would be a nice little thorn in his side
Didn't see one in the catalog.
Innawoods/SHTF general. What's in your kit /k/? Share, discuss, and offer criticism towards other's equipment and setups.
Here's mine, a little small at the moment, but it's all a poorfag like me can afford right now.
>No fucking socks

Seriously, have any of you ever walked extended distances on anything other then pavement?
Or fuck it, have you ever walked an extended distance ever?
There's a guy on YouTube that's made quite the decent innawoods kit out of a Mossberg 500 JIC.
Has a shotgun, pistol, takedown bow, the fucking works.
