I was really impressed by how solid it is. I thought the aluminum handle on the Chaos was going to be two pieces bolted together, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that the handle is a single piece.
The blade is what they call "SK-5", which is really just a plain carbon steel in the neighborhood of 1085. The data I could find pegs SK-5 at being .84-.85 percent carbon.

Hey /k/, I'd like some of your insightful wisdom please.
Being on 4chan, I'd like to assume quite a few of us like weebshit, and enjoy the occasional anime/manga. Well, I've always wanted to sort of do something like that, and I've always liked military shit. See where I'm going with this?
I wanted to start working on a light novel. Since it's weebshit, I think I can get away with some artistic freedom, but still wanted to try and portray a rather plausible scenario, real-world situations, and a certain degree of modern geo-politics.
To get to the point, I wanted to ask how plausible it is for a special operations unit specifically designed for ground insertion/extraction operations be? My first thoughts against it would be:

Well aren't you fucking clever.
Why would someone try rescuing another by rolling into the same situation, in the same manner, that landed said individual in a rescue worthy pickle.
Read up on para rescue or the 160 SOAR if you're interested in operator tier insertion/extraction that might or might not involve rescue.

I guess I should've fleshed my ideas out a bit more. There's obviously going to be some light air support, most likely from a chopper. They're gonna charge in, and try to generally flank whatever has anybody pinned, and provide fire support.
Just flashier, tacticool, and gimmicky. Just enough fire to recover whoever's there, and pull them out. Likewise, they'd be in suicidal fire team situations where they'd have to suppress/light up a place to provide cover for other, higher-priority groups and whatever the fuck they're doing.

Hey /k/. First time gun owner here. Picked up this M44 not too long ago, and it's the second time I've shot her. I've used only Brown Bear and Tulammo, and ran about 160 rounds or so through her. First time, I "cleaned" her up on the spot, then a little more at home. Today, I cleaned her up a little, and then tried to finish up more once I got home. Is this rust? Please tell me it's not. Did I fuck up? What am I doing wrong? How do I clean a rifle, because I admit I don't know how exactly.

Looks like metal fouling from the copper jacket. Soak a patch in some copper solvent, run it down the bore, and let it sit for an hour. Then run another patch soaked in copper solvent down and see what comes out. Run a few more patches through, then a few dry ones and check again for color. If it remains, then repeat.
