Hey /k/.. looking for my first bb gun. I want something for me to practice aiming. What would you suggest?
>>28060297
Why would you buy a BB gun to help with fundamentals? Buy a real gun faggot
>>28060297
Do you live in a non-free country friend? If so, I feel for you.
I'd recommend the crosman pump - really accurate and dirt cheap to shoot.
I wouldn't get one of those CO2 pistols that work with 12g reservoirs - often they're just meant for plinking and are not accurate at all.
>buy the bb gun that /k/ told me to because I'm a child
>practice every day, can hit a can from across the entire yard (it's a whole quarter acre)
>the absolute best at bb pistol shooting
>finally try out a real gun
>shoot it
>drop because I wasn't expecting it to be so loud
>just keep shooting bb guns because it's all I'm accurate with
Isn't >>>/asp/ for this kind of thing?
/k/,
I'm getting ready to make my first purchase. Up until now I assumed I'd get a 10/22 because I know that's a good starter rifle. But then I'm also very fond of the idea of a lever gun, so I wanted to know if that sounds crazy. Of course if I went for a lever gun, I wouldn't really know who to buy from. I guess Mossberg?
And no I'm not getting a nugget.
Lever gun thread.
>>28060219
I don't own one but almost bought a Henry lever .22.
I didn't because ammo is hard to get here.
I'd go with a Henry myself.
.22 lever guns are usually kinda crappy. Some work well, but it's very easy to get a lemon. If you really want a lever gun, your best bet is a repro pistol caliber gun from Chiappa or Uberti, or jumping up to 30-30 with an older marlin or winchester.
>>28060219
Lever guns are expensive, get anything from a 22 to a .223 as a first rifle. I say .22 personally because a box of 500 is 30 bucks. (in canada at least) But, dont bother with a lever action as a first gun, they are expensive, and if you're going to spend the money to get a lever action, get something that can drop an animal bigger than your cock.
/K/, how are the laws in Europe?
Is there any country that has ok laws or is every country shit?
>>28059988
There's based Switzerland. EU land is liberal paradise though.
>>28059988
Italian maritime law is pretty good.
>>28059988
Czechia has better gun laws than the US, Estonia and Finland are good, rest of the nordics are okay as well, the rest of them rate from okay (austria, germoney) to awful (britbongistan).
EU is currently trying to push for a complete ban of full-auto and semi-auto that looks like full auto, though, so if that goes through it's all going to hell.
What is the lowest maintenance pistol?
Fp - 45 liberator
HI point
Recommended thousands of rounds between cleaning. Just shoot it will it breaks. Sending in for warranty repair. They will clean it and fix it free.
Do you really mean lowest maintenance? Because it sure as in hell wouldn't be a black powder pistol, or one meant to shoot a sentry before being dropped.
Or possibly a hipoint like the other anon said. Dat unconditional warranty.
Is there any reason that it would be unsuccessful/unsafe to handload a 7.62x63mm or 7.62x51mm bullet in a .300 Win Mag (7.62x67mm) casing to fire in a .300 Win Mag rifle? If the diameter is the same (7.62mm), and it's in the proper case for the bolt, chamber, bore, etc, shouldn't it be just fine?
>>28059741
so you want to put a smaller lighter bullet into a bigger case.
first thing. not all 7.62/.30 cal bullets are the same diameter.
second. too much rifling twist on too light a bullet will cause it to fly apart.
I'm not talking about a 7.62x39 or a .300 BLK in a .300 Win Mag case. Really just a 7.62x63 or x51. Barrel would be 26" with a 1x10" twist.
>>28059741
>I don't know a single thing about reloading
>obviously own no equipment or materials
Nice thread.
Load can load any .308 bullet into a case that uses .308 bullets so long as its appropriate length and seating depth.
Is there any actual way to defend yourself in a situation where a group of niggas in the hood(multiple armed people) are trying to shoot and kill you?
>>28059721
Keep a rifle behind your seat, and out shoot them.
Dindus can't shoot to save their life
>>28059721
Yes. With situational awareness and avoiding melanin-enriched urban areas.
shoot back
hey bros, so I stumbled upon this link and scrolled past through the document which is like a defense mutual pact between Philippines and USA from last year...
gov dot ph/2014/04/29/document-enhanced-defense-cooperation-agreement/
looking at it, it basically means the US can do what ever they want in the Philippines, build, buy, construct, train, etc etc and the Philippines is responsible for the security. So if you think about it, the US kind of have like a base in PI but not really.
Its like you got kicked out of your momma's basement only to return 14 years later, all privileges back without the need to really do "live" there. What do you guys think?
www(dot)gov(dot)ph/2014/04/29/document-enhanced-defense-cooperation-agreement/
>>28059560
PH govt + social state is so dysfunctional, if what you said were true, it would be an incredible failure and money sink.
>>28059583
>www(dot)gov(dot)ph/2014/04/29/document-enhanced-defense-cooperation-agreement/
not necessarily, unlike having a sprawling base and stationing people living there. The Americans can just come and go as they please and leave support assets as they please. I think this is a smart move for the Americans and there is no where else to go but up unless some stupid shit happens which is highly unlikely.
With the Chinese bullying and Americans doing the Pacific shift. More and more equipment will be prepositioned in Philippines. They will have companies over there instead of repair units or squadrons and they can also provide immediate support instead of relying on bases in Korea, Japan or Australia.
Trust me, these Americans thought these through and you know these Filipinos are aching for the old American cashflow and influence that they used to had but arent ready to jump head straight down, not yet.
why dont you own a khukuri /k/?
>>28059532
Asiatic people really are like monkeys.
>>28059532
Because some nigger stole it out if my car, along with my chest rig, mags, ifak, bunch of other crap...that's what I get for not bringing every thing in after shooting.
>>28059532
Because it offers nothing over a standard kitchen knife besides the fedora factor.
So /k/ how do you like my /k/ollection?
Gecko45/10
>>28059267
Ultimate mallninja, but hey it's your money (unless it's daddies, which is quite possible now I think about it) so knock yourself out.
>>28059267
Your mom lets you keep all of those in her house?
I just placed on order for a Uberti Walker and i'm gonna plan on CCing it under my parka this winter.
Any tips?
>>28059076
Wear square toes a Stetson too.
Honestly, I'd love to see one in a defensive use. I see nothing wrong with the idea
>>28059076
>tips ten gallon
also, are walkers and dragoons better than the 1858 remingtons? cant decide between those for a first BP gun.
>>28059180
My father had a rem 1858. His was in .45Lc though. It was a nice gun.
Someone recommend a Milsurp coat that DOESNT suck pls
Was gonna buy one of pic related (Czech Parka) until I realized the site i was looking at wont have any for at least a month. Im told the American M65 field jackets were good in the day, now you can only get shitty knockoffs tho
What should I get, /k/?
>>28058593
The same company who made M65 for the government on contract still makes them today. They also make a bunch of flight jackets. Alpha Industries, although it'll set you back a few hundred dollary doos, I'm happy with mine.
>>28058621
$300 for a coat? mfw
>>28058593
Does it actually have to be milsurp? Or do you just need a winter coat?
You could get one of the British or Flecktarn parkas off N.E. I suppose. Or go to the store and buy a civilian coat like a normal person. There are plenty of good "military style" coats since milsurp became fashionable after WWI. Hell, the Peacoat is based on the Naval officer coat. I got a pretty sweet one from Old Navy for like 40 bucks last month.
who /tricksy/ here?
>move to city for work
>make 'friends', yuppies i hang out with to alleviate boredom on the weekends
>drunkenly mention one about my cabin innawoods
Inherited from my grandfather, use it for hunting and general fucking around
>everyone decides it'd be fun to have a weekend trip up there
>except me
>get genius idea and go along with it anyway
>tell them I'll meet them there
>get there a day early
>go out hunting with raifu (yugo m59)
>hear the gentle hum of a prius up the road
>itbegins.jpg
>greet them, have a barbecue, look at twilight stars
>wait until it's completely dark and everyone's around the campfire
>suddenly stand up, spill my beer
>stare into the treeline
>"What is it anon?"
>"everyone get inside, now"
>im the token outdoorsy guy so they obey without hesitation
>put out fire
>giggling as I approached my gardening shed where i stashed my sks and a bucket of deer blood
>cover bayonet and body in blood splatters
>grab gardening claw and tear my clothes
>fire a few shouts into the treeline and scream
>wait 10 minutes, return to house, open door with spare key
>they're huddled in the bedroom with some kitchen knives
>"Oh my god anon what was that?!"
>"It doesn't matter, it got away. We could still follow it's blood trail. Has anyone fired a gun before?"
>of course no one has
>"I'll go out alone, then. If I'm not back by morning, get out of here"
>have to leave before they can say anything because I'm about to die laughing
>spend the night fucking with everyone in the cabin, weird noises, branches cracking outside the window, banging on the door, random gunshots etc
>watch them haul ass out of there and nearly hit a a tree
>hunt for the rest of the weekend
>no one invites themselves to my cabin anymore
itt things that never happened
>>28058576
I bet you had this really grand picture of everyone posting approving images and e-patting you on the back.
It was not meant to be however, all your work was for not.
>no one knows I'm only wearing his skin
With carbine assault rifles available that are just as light and compact as most SMGs are, but firing a more powerful and accurate ammunition, what niche do SMGs serve these days?
>>28058472
>what niche do SMGs serve these days?
Looking sexy.
>>28058472
Suppressed work, extremely compact packages (machine pistol type deals with folding stocks Mac 10 style)
Really the MAC-10 is the prime example of what they're good for these days, a bit of firepower you can have broken down around your body, go to the bathroom, put on a big ass suppressor and extend the stock, wait for your "buddy" to take a piss and wax him.
In a military and law enforcement sense they'd become very limited, LE could argue less penetration but, let's face it, the risk of overpenetrating injury in relation to all the advantages you gain from a carbine isn't an issue. The carbine almost always wins out.
You can get absurdly light with SMGs that aren't straight blowback. The MP7 (not A1) is less than 3 lb, and the SR-2 is less than 4 lb. Pretty fuckin light. They're also easily used 1-handed, which is why Russia uses them with shields
I'm looking for a knife that is small and light enough to be carried everyday comfortably, yet is long and tough enough to get you through any urban/wilderness survival situation. I'm thinking 5" as an absolute minimum blade length, and probably 7+ as a max. Does anyone have any suggestions?
>>28058447
Opinel
>>28058475
Do you have a specific suggestion? I've already pretty much found the knife I want, this is just to see if anyone has any good experience/stories with a specific knife that may be better.
>carried everyday comfortably
No 5 or 7 inch fixed blade will do that.
Check out a Colt Steel Espada XL
This is the head of R-77 missile... pic from Wikipedia.
How does this stuff work? What are those holes on the top plate? Why is it at that angle?
Anyway, I don't know much about electronics but have taken apart a bunch of electrical devices and all the wiring on this missile looks sturdy as fuck! As if it was made not to get damaged at high speeds or something.
Anyway, any missile experts around? How do they work?
Obligatory

>>28058427
>nice try china but we won't fall for your tricks
on a more serious note I don't know squat about missiles... but that plate is sitting in what looks like a gimbal mount... it's designed to swivel... I suspect thats probably a radar array of some kind and it needs to be aimed at it's target.... look close at the semicircle bit it fits into...
>>28058512
They dont think it be like it is, but it do
