So normally I live 300 miles away from the nearest bookstore but I'm on leave and going book hunting for k approved or stalker related books.
I'm planning on getting metro 2033. I have enjoyed reading "fry the brain" and "storm of steel". You guys got any suggestions?
>>28400881
It's not stalker, but All Quiet on the Western Front
WWI Paul, a German infantryman deals with war and shit. Kinda slow, but I liked it. Points out the crazy trench nonsense like starvation and scary noises.

On Pain, also by Ernst Jünger
Is there a major difference between the 17 and 17C? Would the gas ports make a big difference in a CC situation? I have the option to trade my G19 for a G17C, and I prefer full size for carry. I have a Streamlight I will be carrying as well so I'm wondering if that will make the fireballs not as noticeable. Also, down the road I plan to get a match barrel anyways. Any input would be appreciated.

>is there a major difference
yeah one has holes in the top of the slide
>blah blah blah CC
you wouldnt really want a compensated gun for CC, especially low light situations, a lot of the muzzle flash is going to be directed through the ports, thats the point of them. a lot of light in front of your face instead of mostly directed downrange. kind of distracting and
>muh nightvision
more importantly though, you dont need to compensate a 9mm for CC. competition uses ok i can see the use, less recoil etc. but you have to be a serious bitch if you think 9mm has too much recoil for range plinking or carry.
The compensator is a meme.
Really not necessary.
Try shooting a compensated pistol first. My own experience is that of "It feels like I'm being lightly slapped in the face every time it goes off."
It usually ends up in Flinch City unless you get to the range a LOT.
Republican presidential front-runnerDonald Trump vowed this weekend that if he's elected, he would undo an executive order President Obamais expected to make soon to tighten the U.S.'s gun control laws.
"We're not changing the Second Amendment," the billionaire businessman andformer Atlantic City casino magnatesaid Saturday during a rally in Biloxi, Miss. "I will veto that. I will unsign that so fast."
If he actually does get elected, he won't
Screenshot this post because it's not happening, he'll be co-opted into exactly the same system every president does
CAN'T STUMP IT
How can white men even compete? The changes do nothing to affect the 2nd btw.
Your opinion on pistol lights for home defense or offensive applicaitons?
Anyone have any experience specifically with Aim Sports lights like in pic related?
I would want one if I were using a handgun for applications like that (HD, duty, etc.)
But I would probably just pony up for an X300 or TLR or something along those lines
>>28423820
Don't buy shitty cheap shit.
You can buy either the Streamlight TLR-1 starting from 100 dollars, brand new from Amazon of all places, or splurge on the Surefire X300 for 269.99.
These are literally the best pistol lights on the market and they are available at good prices. Both lights can be adapted for carbine/rifle use, as well as have replacement parts to make it compatible with pressure switches if you need to go even more gucci on a rifle.
These are your two options. Period.

Have been known to case frame flex issues in polymer guns. Keep your light off your gun.
Who in /commiewastelandstates/ here?
How do you operate with the shit tier laws in your state? Do you keep your guns in your government mandated safes or do you store them like a normal human being?
I live in a commie state (NJ), but it's right next to a free state (PA).
Thank the lord for Pennsylvania.
What are the grey states? When is this map from?
>>28423057
No legislation active for grey states I think. Old map from 2013. If anyone has an updated one, share it.
>>28423054
I live in NYC so it literally can't get any worse.
Is there a better budget red dot sight than the Vortex Sparc II, or is this as good as it gets until you splurge for a Aimpoint?
Is there a better optic in it's class?
>>28421541
Maybe a good deal on a used trijicon reflex
I had dealer pricing on Vortex optics for a while through my employer. Bought my dad one of these for his AR and it is pretty fucking nice, especially for the price.

MD-ADS
I'm the only faggot who noticed this error the first time when saw Batman?
he should have pulled the trigger it wouldve saved heath the trouble
>>28400494
According to your picture's caption, it might not be an error.
Tis the illusion of choice. Thats kind of what the joker does throughout the movie.
So I was browsing around my local gun show last week and found myself at a militia representative table. I talked a bit with him about what they do and was kinda intrigued by what he had to say.
What's /k/ view on local millitia?
Some are good, some are shit. Take them on a case by case basis.
Everyone is FBI, ATF, or local police.
>>28400228
and some are government honeypots.
So the old MPA's fire out of battery and break in under a 1000rds
The UZI pro has a 20lb trigger with a 4lb grip safety
The Scorpion Evo snaps
Is there a decent sub-gun available for under $1000
>>28400104
What do you mean by "break"? Are you talking about the disconnecter breaking? If so you can replace the hammer with an older hammer (still sold on their website) without the moving disconnecter that won't have that problem.
>>28400519
Out of ass talking.
>>28400104
Pps-43c. I have one and it's pretty fucking fun.
So day/k/are, you poorfaggot no funs fucks. What did you do today? Pics related

Getting it done
Why does it seem like militant Dindus are the world's major producer of strange pics?

>Implying that they are even in the same league as east asians
>>28399785
At least all that third world war is good for something.
>>28399785
Isn't that picture from a movie?
>Here's your knife, bro
>>28399692
This looks like dude made knives and promised his son he'd make one after his design. And that came as a result
>>28399692
The saddest part about these shitty knives is that people continue to buy them.
>>28399699
when I was kid I designed special throwing knife that looked a ot like thhis
but insted of the finger hole, it had a little propeller for extra range and speed
seems these days no one is joining the military anymore with the intentions of fighting for their country. .
>>28420398
>Implying that they'd actually get to do any fighting during emperor obama's peacetime.
>>28420398
There will always be stupid people to volunteer for the military anon.
>>28420398
More and more people these days dont see in point in wanting to die for a country that doesnt care about them in some bullshit war they don't believe in.
>mfw the US Army replaces the M4 with the Kel-Tec RDB

What is /k/'s next purchase?
>mark 23
Stupid, pointless, overprices. But I like it
>>28420350
Just got a mk23.. I got my eyes set on five seven next equally useless but equally wang
Just bought a Korth PRS for superior Teutonic performance.
>>28420412
How do you like the feel of it compared to a Five seven? I am a slight FN fanboy but holy fuck do I hate the way the five seven feels. Feels like cheap, shitty polymer. Great shooting guns but I just hated the feel
