Modern pump-action shotguns?
From what I can tell just by research on the internet, the DP12 is the best out of all the ones on the market as fair as reliability and quality of craftsmanship, but what about you guys? Good ideas or overpriced toys?

I like all three of the odd pump actions.
The KSG is the smallest and feels pretty good to hold. I have heard it has bad ergonomics though.
The UTS 12 looks pretty bulky, but it is supposedly built pretty good.
And the DP-12 is really neat and well built, but heavy as fuck.
I'd buy all three if I had money to waste because they are all pretty awesome, but I'm afraid to drop that serious money and possibly be disappointed.

So would anyone care to explain the "glocks are ugly" meme to me? I get that everyone has different opinions, but this is like the most cited reason I've seen on this board for why people don't like them. What polymer handguns look better? All that I can think of off the top of my head are the mk. 23/usp line, gen 1 p99, and maybe like the caracal.
Is it that people are comparing them to guns outside the tactical/polymer striker-fired class? Like custom 1911's and revolvers and stuff? Because I guess I could see how someone who's a little fuddy might see them as ugly when viewing them from that context. Thoughts /k/?

Why the fuck did South Africa dismantle its nuclear weapons program? By the 1980's, South Africa was a fully Western, modernizing country with a highly trained military that kicked communist asses all across the continent. They were experienced in bush warfare in several conflicts and had a successful air force. They had the opportunity to continue running the show in southern Africa and to be a major regional power beyond that. So why the fuck would they cancel the nuclear program just short of giving in to the end of apartheid? Was the apartheid government scared that an ANC-led government wouldn't be capable of managing a nuclear arsenal?
The government should not have given TWO FUCKS about any international political pressure regarding their nukes, because they were already being given shit about the apartheid system.
And why has the ANC not renewed/continued the program? Did they lose their collective African balls? Not to sound like a warmonger or anything, but when you're surrounded by socialist revolutionaries, ethnic cleansing conflicts, and the shitstorm that was Zimbabwe in the 80's & 90's, the move made no sense. All having nukes would have done is to strengthen South Africa's military position on the continent, whether it was a white or black finger on the trigger.

Anyone have one of the new Inland M1 Carbine reproductions or seen one? They're supposed to be faithful reproductions of the originals but everything I see about them is basically paid advertising.

They varied wildly in quality by year. As the cheap milsurp parts started drying up, they tried to make inexpensive alternate versions of whatever part they needed. This is where a lot of the quality problems came from. If you have a chance to eyeball one before you buy it, check the charging handle. If it's milled and you can't see the bolt lug, it may be one of the okay ones. The ones with a stamped charging handle with a cutout for the lug are a bit sketchier.

Also, get yourself a Yugo M48 Mauser, most of them were unissued and almost all of them on the market are mint. Best Mauser for the buck and its build like a tank. 1903s are prohibitely expensive nowadays
