I want to get my wife a reliable CC gun. She is a huge pussy and says .380 has too much recoil and the slides on them are too much for her to pull back. Now, I could offer her my Skorpion but I dont think its the best option so I am thinking about getting her a Beretta 21a in .25ACP. I know the ammo is expensive compared to the .22lr but the reliability increase makes it worth it.

I use a Tok right now, and I was looking as a cheap pump, but the layout and small space makes it a pain for a shotgun.
Of course, the odds of me needing an HD gun are crazy low, but rather have it than need it, etc.

I'm looking for a bolt action rifle in .308, as I would like to go elk hunting in the future, but I have some questions. What does /k/ recommend for under $500? I was thinking a ruger american, or a used remington 700, but am open to suggestions. Also, can I use 7.62 nato in a .308 rifle? I have heard differing opinions on this, but no facts or sources to back it up.

So these guys that do military archaeology unearthed this thing on a WWI/WWII location in Romania and have no idea what it is. Does anyone have any idea what it is? Apparently it still has some Feldgrau marks on it so it's most likely a military artifact. I can post more pics if needed. A guy assumed it could be from a telephone switchboard but i'm not certain.

I've seen these "V Light" style lights around and they seem neat. But what I don't get is why I see so many helmets with lights in multiple locations and colors. What's the point? Is it all just cool guy lighting or does it serve a purpus? The rear green and red reminds me of port and starboard.
