>It is a felony in New Jersey to manufacture, transport, or possess a sling shot
Damn, really? Sounds awful.
>>28452924
>>28452930
And everyone shit's on Californians who have to deal with a bullet button or go featureless.
Seriously, New Jersey just wants to convert it's civilian populace into state prisoners.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5VLCVyCh7U
I don't think you understand what felony means.
>"Excuse me sir. As the newest executive order states , I need to take your guns. Please comply calmly sir."
What do?
>"Give me a second, officer, so I can put my dog in the laundry room."
I don't actually have a dog.
>>28457279
>no ones.coming for your guns
All I've seen on the news since the executive orders were announced
Are they worth it? It's kind of a pain in the ass when you get to round 13ish on a new 16 round mag.
absolutely. especially for AR mags.
>>28457190
yes, I go to the range to shoot, not to sit there and load magazines
>>28457190
Yes, for two main reasons:
1. Less time spent loading mags at the range = more time shooting at the range.
2. You can easily load mags with one with gloves on (good for those pesky crime scene investigators, also good if you don't like dirty fingers)
It may be a meme gun, but damn if it isn't great.
Just for shits I was taking 65 yard shots at a steel silhouette and making consistent hits. Really impressed with this little guy.
Who else /shield/ here?
>>28456518
Almost bought a shield, but I picked a Sig P239 instead. I still want one though.
>>28456518
I sort of want them to make a .380 conversion kit for it
>>28456639
Just buy a bodyguard fgt
Listen I just wanna thread about cool gun pictures okay? Please post uncommon pics, stuff that wouldn't normally be seen in "gun porn" threads.
Gonna post 17 more pictures of Gemini Customs heavily modified revolvers
Some of the filenames may point out some of the features of the gun, these are all taken from their site.

Where's the best place to order surplus fun parts from? Specifically I want to get a bakelite grip for my AK. I haven't had to order anything in a long time and the site I used to use went bellyup.

>doesn't know about aim surplus

Just a few off the top of my head
aimsurplus

circle10ak
>be advised, ebay and amazon may sell fake or replica products marketed as genuine, but very good deals can be had if you are an educated buyer.
Besides the bakelite grip, anythint particular you are looking for OP?
>>28452443
Apex gun parts, Roberttrg, Ernst armory (for FAL) and Liberty tree collectors are my favorite.
Is it because the combine the sheer engineering genius of the Germans with the practicality of the Soviets and the style of the Italians?
Frankly, the Vz-58 is the best rifle ever made by any metric and you would only argue against it because your such a slavaboo or nato dick sucker
Its a pretty good rifle, but it lacks development and aftermarket support. If it had came on the scene with the AR and AK, it would be a definite competitor.
>>28456265
I agree 100% with the aftermarket, we are hurting on that. All that shit is way to expensive and trying to emulate the AR market. Just running the numbers though, it is the best rifle ever made.
While I love my vz to death and I've put about 11,000 rounds through it over the past decade, I wouldn't call it the best rifle ever made by any metric.
Does anyone know where there are operational Catalinas?
>>28452385
I know at least one flies in the San Diego area. I've seen it a few times while visiting a friend who lives there.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_surviving_Consolidated_PBY_Catalinas
>>28452385
I think the national air and space museum in VA has one in their restoration area, one of the guides said its one of the remaining planes that was AT pearl harbor.
though im not sure if it was a catalina or a bigger model

Why do we need a better tank when what we have is sufficient.
You build a new tank. Enemy makes a missile that can kill it, and now everything below that tank in our storage is royally fucked when it hits combat.
>>28452912
What the US needs is light tanks
You can't go plenty of places with the abrams.
Also: Doesn't it consume gas like nuts? That's a hell of a liability.
>>28452957
Eh, I wouldn't say light tanks, but a heavier emphasis on IFV's like the Stryker or some of the new MRAP's. An RPG is gunna fuck up everything short of a MBT anyways, so just place defense in soft and hard kill counter measures instead of fuckheavy armor.
And yea the Abrams sucks gas like hoes sucks dick.
I'm looking at getting something for range. By that I mean from 300m-600m. I was looking at pic related(super vepr .308) as a viable option but after reading reviews it's got me on the fence leaning away from it.
>I'm not looking for an AR 10 or AR clone.
>I'd like to get something in .308.
>Can /k/ give me any suggestion between $1k and 2k?
>Would the super vepr work for what I want?
> Will replacing the trigger and feeding it proper .308 give me consistency between 1" and 2" MOA.
why are you against a .308 AR?
>>28455735
What's wrong with the Vepr
get an m1A or build an ar10 and stop being a pussy
A nice video about a sniper competition in Finland from 2012.

Swag.
>>28454825
They're comfy. And if the mission doesn't require some super-spec operator boots, then why bother?
Just wanted to let you all know shooting a gun is very simple. Everyone can operate a gun. It takes no special skill to do so. You are not special. Everyone who can lift 5 kg up above their head right with their arms can also hold, aim and shoot a gun.
A beginner can shoot just aswell as a senior as long as he understands the concept of guns (point, squeeze, recoil, sights). Perhaps if you have shot guns everyday for 50 years, then maybe you're alittle better but it doesn't really matter.
Guns, very simple weapon to operate. Swords or let's say an axe however, to fight with those kinds of weapons... that takes ALOT of skill.
The difficulty of firearms comes from the maneuvering and tactics before you shoot. Axes and swords have very little of that.
>>28452051
why in the fuck do you think all of us neckbeards come on here to circlejerk and feel special?
no shit it's easy. why the hell would any of us work to learn a martial skill like some sort of fag? guns are instant gratification.
That's the point, OP. Firearms are great equalizers. I'm sure you wouldn't say this to my 75 year old grandmother with cancer that got her first gun for christmas because she is afraid of being attacked in her home. I'm sure you wouldn't say this is the countless wheelchair bound gun owners that rely on CC'd handguns to keep them from being an easy target. I'm sure you wouldn't say this to a 5'4" 120 lb. woman that just got out of an abusive relationship and is being threatened by their ex that is much bigger and meaner than them. Guns are simple, and that's a good thing
>6/10 bait. made me reply

>anon still hasn't enlisted in the VDV
what are you waiting for?
if 2016 i drop my neet life and join the vdv
>>28452017
>>28452004
Im waiting for them to approve my citizenship, but I'm not going VDV, I'm going for interior ministry or something anti terror.
Would this be able to penetrate the sides of a modern warship?
I reckon it would fuck it up.
They literally are still in service dumbass
modern warships dont have much in the way of armour
>>28451996
1. Probably. Ships don't have much in the way of armor these days.
2. Probably not, internals are very compartmentalized. Unless damage control is absolute ass and/or you get a very lucky hit something important, frigate-sized or bigger isn't going to notice much. Maybe if it just sat there and let you shoot it, eventually you'd get somewhere.
