From previous thread: Anyone know much about PJ selection? There's a lot of info out there on the 18 series but I can't find much about PJ. I'm know what my PT goals are before I enlist, anything specific I should be preparing for mentally? Books to read? Mental skills to develop like land nav?
I want to join the muhreens to shoot sandpeople and enjoy the thrill of almost becoming a wounded warriors member for life.
I want to shoot things innadesert, but it's peacetime and realistically I'm going to go to some boring college for some boring job in the lame medical field wasting my life away at the range.

Would you guys be up for a SHTF create your own adventure thread?
I'd try to keep things really simple. No dice rolling or anything for combat. Just common sense. If you go against five armed men with only the spirit of Rhodesia at your back you won't make it out alive.
Otherwise in most blocks I'd give you guys 3+ choices, sometimes add on a custom choice. Majority vote for most instances.
Anyone interested?

I fired the potato successfully.

Compared to an AR they're less reliable, heavier, smaller aftermarket, unique magazines, and generally sad
Just buy or build a heavy barrel AR.
saged & hidden because you didn't QTDDTOT
>>28612068
The general consensus is that the newer ones would be really solid rifles if they were 200 bucks less.
You could build a good AR for the price of a stock Mini.
They look cool though.

I would literally rather have the HiPoint than the Sccy. They aren't even bad fucking guns, they're just cheap and look like shit so a bunch of neckbeards made a meme out of them without even having any experience with the gun.

Can we get a gun manufacturer thread? Your favorite manufacturer and why... Pros, cons etc.
>Ruger
pro
>tough as all hell, revolvers are on the same level of indestructability as cockroaches
con
>painfully long trigger pull on too many of them
>Sig Sauer
pros;
>fit and finish is unmatched
>cool new offerings
>company culture caters to the hardcore shooter
cons;
>aftermarket is expensive
>>28609814
Ruger is the only manufacturer that I've ever had to call. My buddy (who was deployed) lost a spring to the rear sight of his SR9 right before deployment. I explained the situation and they had it shipped to my house in 2 days, free of charge.
I offered to pay for the part and the dude I spoke with on the phone laughed at me like it was ridiculous that I even think about paying for it.
I was already a Ruger fan (I have 3 already) and that just reinforced it even more.
Ruger is my hands-down favorite. They've had crap products, and they've had issues politically. But in my lifetime, they've released some great stuff, at a great price point, and stood by us politically like no other major manufacturer.
Other companies may build better guns. Other companies may build cheaper guns. But Ruger will continue to be my favorite.

Where this meme about rising dragon is coming from? Why is it becoming so commonplace to drum up the military threat from the largest paper tiger in existence, moreover belittle American capabilities in the very same context?
>>28609634
I wonder what it says about Russia when such a worthless country like China can have nicer things. Americans would rek the Chinese and Russhits combined, only a faggot highschooler thinks otherwise.
While I'm not saying China is a massive threat, especially with their absolutely dismal force-projection abilities (for probably the next 10 years at least). But any army with that many men, with even late 90's tech, is still not something to belittle or ignore.
That said, it has been over-hyped, at least recently.
>>28609672
On neutral soil? Yes.
An invasion of Russia or China would be a nightmare though, because their major flaw (poor logistics) would be eliminated.

Why does it seem that Shot Show is full of products that we'll never see in the wild? It's like this show has become a place to show off the really cool shit you'll never make. It's as bad as concept cars at car shows. Everyone want it, but, the makers won't be selling it.
Uncertainty due to the political situation in the USA and a highly volatile civilian marketplace.
Are you that surprised? I think it's more for the investors anyways.
We all know that no matter how much cool shit is shown by the companies, everything they will release is just going to be another AR15.
You do know it is a trade show?
